Yaks can't live below 13,000 feet (approx). So the Sherpas and Tibetians have crossbred a yak with a cow which they call Zupchuck. These are the "Uhauls" of the mountains.

Since the winters are so cold at elevation, the livestock winters underneath the living room. Humans live on the 2nd floor. The livestock below has heat which rises and keeps the house from freezing. There is little to no trees (they cut them down and burned them already), so they either import charcoal or burn Yak dung for cooking.
