Making Another Fine Pot Roast Tonight. No pics, but here is the recipe. I don’t really deviate from it much other than adding the veggies only in the last 8 minutes or so.

I’m using a Piedmontese Chuck roast and a rub mix very similar to the recipe that I already had in my pantry from smoking a pork roast some time ago. I’ve found that most of these rub recipes have the same ingredients, just in different measurements.

Aside from the insta-pot silliness, a solid recipe. Creating a maillard early really boosts flavor in the end.

I have a stovetop preasure cooker I can use on the gas burner, this is just easier. It’s the exact same thing. I guess I could cook it for six hours on the same gas top, but I have other shit to do.
I know, I thought they were ghey until I got one.
I don’t have a bread machine and I don’t have a rice cooker.

I just had potroast tonight. Slightly different recipe: 3.5 hours in Dutch oven at 325. Replace carrots with celery. Replace worschestershire and wine with balsamic and tomato paste. Add sage, thyme, rosemary, mustard. Instead of cornstarch, minced raisins.

Oh, I always leave out the Worcestershire sauce. Ruins everything.
