As January 8th came closer, I became more and more stressed out, not knowing if I'd have my job. I eventually expressed this to my boss... and then the bribe offers came. He essentially told me that there'd be a promotion if I went and got the shot. That was when I began to waver.
However, on my drive home, I came to my senses. Think about this: they have to BRIBE YOU or THREATEN YOU into taking that shit. If there was a seriously dangerous illness killing people, you bet your ass I'd try to secure myself a dose. But what I saw was that every guy at work who got it wound up sick, calling out several days.
January 8th came and went... and nothing happened. I was the only man at my company who stood his ground the whole way through and refused to get it... and there were NO CONSEQUENCES FOR ME. Man, I felt like such a badass after this.

I noticed that no one in my life was really affected by it. One person I believe more than most said he got it but I still don't know.
