Any goats out there living without medical insurance? Here's one thing I did for two decades when I was too poor to have insurance

submitted by Panic to TellUpgoat 1 monthMar 13, 2025 13:29:03 ago (+19/-0)     (TellUpgoat)

To medicate, I used alternative sources. I often needed antibiotics and turned to pet meds. Yes pet meds. They are the same dosages and made in the same facilities as the higher priced prescription meds. My stuff included 'Fish Mox', which is amoxicillin. But there are many others, all cheap and without prescription. There also is pet pain meds and all sort of other pet meds, cheap and readily available online or in pet stores.

What about an Albuterol inhaler? Anti-seizure medication?

Take a gamble on mexico, or china if you're really poor.

Great find. I've been buying on Fish Mox Fish Flex for 2x the price.

Fish mox is legit. I also have doxycycline and azithromycin. Never had any issues with them.

I'll have to look into the pain meds. Didn't know they had those.

I've never had medical insurance. Gotta pay the doctor's bill then buy my own prescriptions, often just do without. Some service related stuff I get from the VA though, so that's nice. Still, I'm saving to visit the dentist to see what I have to save to un-fuck my teeth, which aren't counted in VA stuff ever. I did consider some horse paste but just did without.

I wonder if there's a website that lists these meds you can get from the vet.

Stock up on the toothache medicine at the dollar tree. The gel that comes in the little squeeze tubes. It's like 20% benzocaine or something like that. You can do small surgeries on yourself with it by putting it some on your skin. Fix all kinds of things that are otherwise too painful to touch. It's not just good for your mouth. It's probably not sterile though so I wouldn't inject it for God's sake

What about older folks with real diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes?

[ - ] fnbs 1 point 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:04:18 ago (+1/-0)

Ok, cool.......Does Friskies cat food work well when im on a tight grocery budget?

[ - ] Panic [op] 4 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:53:18 ago (+4/-0)

Pound for pound, that shit is expensive. Decades ago, the lefties said that many seniors ere so poor that they lived on dog food. But reporters went to do stories on this in the stores and quickly realized that any human food was less expensive, so the stories just disappeared.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Purina-Friskies-Shreds-Chicken-and-Salmon-Dinner-in-Wet-Cat-Food-Gravy/3818421125?classType=VARIANT

$9.24 for 4.1 pounds of wet chicken and salmon dinner. Add some capers and cheese and you're all set. Don't spend all the savings in one place.

Hey @Sector2, you are so right! Now go buy some and eat it all, then report back to us on what a friggin' deal it was. Yum yum!

[ - ] SumerBreeze 4 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:09:07 ago (+4/-0)

Or you can do what jews do and get free meals from Christian churches who feed the homeless.

I stocked up on all the three different antibiotics in fish form in the covid scare first started before we realized it was a scam.

But I was wondering if they had some kind of a stuff that would dissolve in the tank that if you got it in your stomach would make you sick or something like that. Of course the other thing to do is if you have an infection like a wound you can spread it on the wound I guess.

Also go get yourself some horse paste at the tractor supply store for about $14. The jail you just put the amount of you put the amount on that your body weight. Basically. If it's good for million dollar horses it's good for you.

Oh and don't forget the dog parasite dewormer stuff panic here which is oh whatever that thing is that they say make your cancer. Stock up on some of that too. Panacure is the brand name sometimes you'll find it in Walmarts but lately I've noticed you have to order it online but no prescription

I've used the pet med antibiotics for decades. Diabetics always have healing problems. Not anymore for me. Better still, I took Panacure (Fenbendazole) for skin cancer and never need a dermatologist any more. Plus, that Fenbendazole made my 45 years of diabetes just go away. Nice! I am the only ex-diabetic I've ever heard of.

Wonderful info. We've been without medical for years and found out of pocket expenses were cheaper than the co-pay and premiums, even with broken bones, an MRI, and multiple EEGs.

Make sure companies know you are cash pay and ask about discounts, we commonly got 40-60% off of the price at the front desk up front.

To add, if you need dental work done the dental schools are very reasonable as long as you pick a good one. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and other work for a fraction of the price. When I went, the last year students were doing the work.

I always had bad teeth until I discovered Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. Hardens bones and teeth. Stops hair loss nd graying. Awesome and cheap. Nowadays, I get a cleaning annually and never need dentistry.

Great tip. I don’t have insurance now. Sucks.

[ - ] Leveraction 4 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:07:56 ago (+4/-0)

Thank you for that info. Always looking for other alternatives since we all know pharma is implimenting depopulation of people but sparing animals

[ - ] Hobama 6 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:06:54 ago (+6/-0)

Why not just go to the emergency room for free? Like all the shitskin scum.

[ - ] jfroybees 6 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 16:14:01 ago (+6/-0)

Because if you are White, you will be hunted down and made to pay at full cost.

[ - ] Panic [op] 5 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:50:01 ago (+5/-0)

Even if you do the ER thing, you might get a prescription (high cost meds) for perhaps a one month period if you're so lucky. Thee pet meds are the exact same products and from the exact same manufacturers, but for pennies on the dollar and without seeing a doctor for refills. Endless refills.

[ - ] xmasskull 2 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:04:40 ago (+2/-0)

Interesting!

[ - ] xmasskull 4 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:21:14 ago (+4/-0)

A 14-16-hr wait in the ER is nowhere near a "cakewalk"!

[ - ] Sector2 3 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 14:56:19 ago (+3/-0)

That's how you know you live in a terrible place. Move. I've waited up to 30 minutes at most, the several times I've gone.

[ - ] xmasskull 3 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:03:50 ago (+3/-0)

Med Center,Houston,TX: Supposed to be the "Pinnacle" of the "free" World healthcare.

So,No bum-fuk-Egypt hospice.

[ - ] Sector2 2 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:17:33 ago (+2/-0)

I've heard nothing good about Houston. Deathly heat, full of niggers and mosquitoes. You shouldn't be seeing more than a handful of nigs during your day, if any at all.

Houston's climate, with its heat, humidity, and frequent rain, creates a breeding ground for mosquitoes, making them a year-round presence, especially active from May to October

Harris County: Harris County, which includes Houston, is projected to reach almost 8 million people, with a demographic breakdown of 42.4% Hispanic, 20.8% white, 19.5% Asian/Other, and 17.6% Black.

Only 1 in 5 identify as white? The population numbers alone are horrific, but they're also mostly shitskins! Save yourself!

I saw around 6 mosquitoes last summer. (those tennis racket zappers are great at whacking them, or zapping them during the night)

I have family living very close.

They've had multiple new cars stolen, and the Police don't do shit about it other than a basic report for insurance purposes. They know the cars are stolen, and shipped out by organized criminal rings.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 1 monthMar 14, 2025 23:24:45 ago (+1/-0)

Sounds like an absolute hellhole, both climate and demographics wise

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 2 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 21:12:00 ago (+2/-0)

Med Center,Houston,TX

You are living in the Mecca of criminal Niggers, Spics, and Chinks.

Be safe, friend. GTFO of there ASAP unless you are living in the some place nearby like Alvin.

Sheet knee grow, I live in THE redneck part of S.Harris,Co.

Pasadena, TX- maybe you heard of it?

Yes, we have a few beaners but, they are controlled.

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 0 points 1 monthMar 14, 2025 11:35:48 ago (+0/-0)

I have family members all over the North Dallas area, and a few near Houston. We've been telling them to move to North but they refuse to accept that things are that bad.

They have had a new truck stolen every 2 years, or less. And my uncle keeps buying the same model-make that is one of the most targeted for theft. It's unreal.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 2 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 18:42:04 ago (+2/-0)

You're spot on. My last ER visit, they walked me right through to a room. People who live around minorities live like minorities.

[ - ] Hobama 2 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 18:52:51 ago (+2/-0)

Just go outside the city. Usually empty.

[ - ] Breeder 6 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:15:04 ago (+6/-0)

Insurance is so Talmudic

[ - ] SilentByAssociation 5 points 1 monthMar 13, 2025 15:30:32 ago (+5/-0)

There's nothing quite like betting against yourself.
