It's extremely easy to ban Halal Slaughter.

Slaughterhouses cannot cause the animal any stress.
For example, they will get shut down if the floor is a little bit slippery.

Meanwhile Halal requires that the throat be slit, and then the animal is hung upside down to bleed out.
They claim the knife used is so sharp that the animal doesn't even know it has been cut.

But.... hanging an animal upside down is causing them stress.

Separation of church and state, and that freedom of religion doesn't give them the right to break the law, means that enforcing the existing laws will lead to a ban of Halal slaughter.
