Also: I once knew a woman who gave custody of her three boys to her ex-husband because she thought they would grow up better being around him instead of her. Not because she was fucked-up; she simply thought her boys should be around a man. She let the guy have the house and she moved into an apartment. Her only condition was that she could see her boys anytime. The husband agreed to this arrangement, and it seemed to be working out fine.
