Fuel still in tank... can be OK. Grey zone.

No constant argon flow into the tank... can be OK if you put rags in every hole, never a plug or cap.

Welding on top (flat hand) with an obvious air pocket full of fumes & residue on the surface inside... complete & total retardation.

He's actually lucky it was at least half full, it limited the amount of fumes inside.

There's a charcoal filter on my genset because fuck california, when it clogged, my 5 gallon fuel tank gained a quart in capacity... then I caught on, lol

Exactly. Just imagine if he had x2 the amount of fuel vapor waiting for him. That tank wouldn't have been strong enough to contain the pressure... and then all of that flaming fuel would have been covering him, and everything in that shop.

I always just pulled them, filt them with augwa and welded away. I have welded a couple still on the vehicle with gas but was half drunk. Are you a "gas tank half empty? Or a gas tank half full" kinda feller?

I was drunk I shouldn’t say that. Round about last September I kept making jokes that I wish I would get sick: just a little sick so I didn’t have to go to work. I then proceeded to get strep throat. Then idk what happened I didn’t know it was strep for a couple weeks. It wrecked me. Even now in April I still get sinus problems and I think it all came from the strep. I think god told me to fuck around and find out. Yea…… I’m gonna delete my comment for he gets me again
