Gimme shit I don't care. I'm reading Jurassic Park. I haven't finished but I'd like to see how it was all a setup and a mind fuck. Hammond ran a flea circus where he could convince people that there were fleas there. His "dinosaurs" are bastard biological engineering but the power of persuasion makes the people think they're seeing dinosaurs. Cooked up in a lab in plastic eggs. I feel it's a real testament to what's coming. Genetic manipulation.
Having read all of David Irvings excellent histories of WW2 https://irvingbooks.com/, once you've done that, I'd suggest in no particular order:
"Freedom Betrayed" by ex-President Herbert Hoover. "Operation Snow" - by Jon Koster “The Iron Curtain Over America” by Colonel John Beaty. "The Chief Culprit: Stalin's Grand Design to Start World War II" by Viktor Suvorov. The Bad War -by M.S. King “Hidden History: The Secret Origins of the First World War”. by Gerry Docherty and Jim MacGregor
Unlike most of the other books noted on this thread, this is all real stuff.

Call it "history obsessed" Paul:-). I had direct relatives fight in these wars. BTW, did you ever get the full story on Gallipoli? IE, Churchill and the powers in England wanted to keep the Russians in the war. They knew it had no chance of succeding. You have any relatives in that mess?

Some years back, it had occurred to me that wealthy successful people may have written down their wisdom into books. That got me back into reading useful nonfiction about life, business, and health.
Likewise, doctors who discover useful stuff will often write books as the establishment would never make their findings public.
Last book I listened to was on testosterone. Prior to that: Endocrine disrupters. (absolutely do not drink the tap water), and other various topics such as: Dealing with women, masculinity and femininity, vitamin C, Niacin, establishing business credit, effective communication skills, parenting books, iodine, magnesium, sunlight, vitamin D, The Carnivore Code, and a book on the history of Poland.
I'm reading tech manuals and learning how to optimize a system to help a friend. Do you want to learn more efficient ways to integrate Structred Text with Ladder logic for a 16 lane divider?
Read Jurassic Park and the Lost World last year. I'm a big Crichton guy. Finished State of Fear recently. He was the tip of the spear in warning of biotechnology and AI before he died, but he was also a conservative (medical doctors usually are) skeptic of climate change. His stuff there hasn't aged well.
Currently finishing up some of Agatha Christie's earlier stuff, featuring her famous private detective the Belgian Frenchie Hercule Poirot:
I'd have to disagree and say it's more relevant today than ever. Men are cutting their dicks and balls off with genetic engineering to help. Making a profit using these methods? Check. All for substantial political gain check. If Spielberg hadn't fucked up the movie so hard it could have helped folks.
Pro Muldoon. Dude was the only one with sense.
Lost world was bullshit. Malcom died in the book but nah. Gotta keep the gravy train going. At least Chriton hit on his morphine withdrawals.
