I spent three months after a severance just focusing on what actually works regarding weight loss / getting fit / getting actual results with workouts etc. What I found was what seemed like what works for one isn't going to work / not be enough for another. So everyone would really have to find what works for them. For me I came to find HIIT structured workouts work best overall for fitness.
Yoga to me seemed like a moving meditation / super top tier excellent full body stretch. Definitely should be incorporated in a weekly 'workout' routine, but not specifically for the weight loss / "workout" part.
