In the 70's/80's Quebec city was the fucking coolest city in North America. We put Genesis, Peter Gabriel, even Iron Maiden on the map. Few others too can't think of oh yeah Gentle Giant was huge. Montreal was already a shithole.

Yeah. So much cool back then pretty much everywhere. On rue St Jean main drag past the walls, the beginning of the end was when they opened a McDonalds though it was a crazy location with old walls and multilevel 3 story. Dare i say a cool McDo but still, it just felt wrong. This was in 83' pretty sure. Craziest st jean bonfires every year on plaines d'abraham park and the summer festival which to this day has some of the best acts yearly.
