I've worn my $82 Sonovia mask for maybe 3 years now, unwashed. I insert a tissue between my mouth/nose and the mask but not sure it does much. Yes it's a bit unhygenic but anything's better than catching the f..king covid imo.

You're right to be afraid of COVID but I'm not sure that mask... ANY mask will help you. You're better off just keeping your hands clean and away from your mucus membranes, i.e. don't touch your eyes, nose, mouth etc after going out and touching things in public. There's nothing you can do to eliminate risk entirely as your wife could pick it up and pass it to you but you can greatly reduce your risk by just keeping your hands clean and not touching any points of infection unless you know 100% your hands are clean.

We think this already came through the west coast this spring. There was something ugly going around (all over actually) that no one put their finger on.

What is particularly troubling is; typically Virus go out during the summer months. Something about the UV sterilizing surfaces. I'm not sure exactly of the modality, but viruses do go way during the summer months.

If this thing breeds up over the summer... It will be a first and will bode no well.
