This was my car for about ten years. It's NA 1.3 litre engine.

Things I did to it:

Silicone hoses for the whole cooling system.

Swapped steel pulleys for adonized aluminum.

Stage 1 Exedy clutch. Outside of the straight drive good luck stealing it at this point.

New K&N intake.

All lights minus headlights were converted to LED. Side markers, the orange shits in the picture were replaced with clear lenses and bulbs that would only show their color when lit.

Lowered it by 1.5" using performance springs.

Tightened up the handling with agency power sway bars and end links for suspension.

Seafoam every 5k with the oil change.

Only 93 octane.

My high brake light had a mask on it that illuminated STOP.

Always a jug of motor oil in the trunk.

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Lol. I don't blame you. It was a bastard of design choices. Mazda should have thrown a 20b (3 rotor engine) with a turbo, kept it a coupe and priced it around Porsche.

Is that still a rotary engine car like the RX-7? I’m a rube, but I like the RX-7.

Yup. A 13b 2 rotor engine.

Nice. A decade is a good run for that beast.

Thanks. Got it to nearly 200k. Fuel pump, internal rebuilds and a new cat and I was out.

Why? Less mass? If so, why bother with anodized parts? Everyone had anodized aftermarket crap on their cars and bikes in the early-mid '00s.

Yes. Less mass. Equals a higher RPM throttle response. I need the rotors to run as free as possible. Taking weight off the engine was my goal. Turbo or supercharger was a no go.

It’s a car that takes you from point a to B s Corolla or rav4 is better

They are. This was fun to drive though. Most those economy cars are boring. Can't hear shit, weighed down by electronics, too much play in the wheel.

I love Mazda. I had the Mazda MX-3, 1.8 liters with 6 cylinders. It was possible to start the car right from 5th gear.
