It's doubtful we could defend our three aircraft carriers in the strait of Hormuz from Iran missiles and would likely lose at least one. That would literally change the perception of power throughout the world when people know their vulnerable. It's the bluff you kind of never want to see called the old illusion of projection of power only works if you think they're impenetrable.

Iran's show of force against the iron dome has shown aircraft carriers are now ancient technology.

In any future long distance war it's long distance missiles that will rule the skies and the battlefield. Even jet fighters almost don't matter.

Israel says they rule the skies over Iran but what I ran is showing is that's old thinking and it no longer matters. They can pop up and fire five or 10 or 20 missiles in 5 minutes from hiding places it doesn't matter if Israel thinks they own Iran skies because I ran can inflict heavy damage on Israel without its guys. It doesn't need aircraft.

And if one of Iran's missiles was able to take out one of the US carriers around the strait of Hormuz then all the carriers in the world going to different ports around the world to threaten other countries would no longer matter because the race to develop similar weapons by every single small country in the world would happen so quickly that they would no longer be threatened by aircraft carriers.

The biggest mistake Trump could make is to put those aircraft carriers in danger because only by them not being in danger is the illusion of projection of power still maintained. Once one is lost the illusion of America's ability to project power is suddenly gone.

That's bullshit.

IF the Iranian missiles can be tracked by radar, then they can be taken down via multiple weapons platforms. Multiple missiles and drones were shot down via F-16s, and F-35s when Iran launched that huge 700+ drone/missile attack.

How many of those 700+ drones/missiles were hypersonic and aimed at a USS Navy ship?

They would be even easier to track, target, and destroy at sea.

They can't intercept a hypersonic missile fired from 100 miles out. They simply can't. 8 meters long, Mach 9. That covers 100 miles in 20 seconds.

Dude if you are on a ship at sea, and a hypersonic missile is coming at you... then it's literally coming down a piped-trajectory to you.

You know exactly where to fire, and just need to fire into the "pipe".

And you have 20 seconds or less to realize it coming, turn to fire, and fire. Good luck. And, if there is more than 1 coming from different sites, really good luck.

How many hypersonic missiles do you think Iran has?
Hint, they had one.
Gifted from Russia.
And Iran already blew it's load.

So, none. Got it. And you're betting that Israel doesn't have one either, right? Gifted by no one. Cause it only takes one, aimed at the USS Nimitz, to justify US boots on the ground, regieme change in Iran, and 5-10 years, $5-10 Trillion, and 20,000 American lives lost to accomplish Israel's intended goals.

ProTip: Never choose a skank in a skank fight.

Oh, wait. You chose Jesus. The biggest Jew-skank who ever skanked.

The correct answer is "crucify the Jews AND the Iranians".

Good analysis. Way to show how well you understand absolutely fucking nothing.

Hundreds and thousands.

And no they weren't gifted.

Iran's been making missiles for ten years knowing this scenario would happen.

Unless you want a war with Iran for Israel and Israel doesn't give a fuck about how the world views America. AND, you have an aircraft carrier with 2 A4W reactors that needs an expensive decommissioning.

Any loss of projected power gets restored by the "shock and awe" campaign that fills the two weeks following Iran getting the blame. It doesn't matter that we will never actually win the war. We've never won the war. At least not in the last 75 years.

if they sink an aircraft carrier the ammunition boats are all going to be full steam ahead to reload the battleships that exhausted their inventory

back in the early 2000's Iran boasted they had 30,000 Sunfire antiship missiles.

Those are old 3 gen missiles now, but even if they have 1/4 of those as well as whatever they have procured in the last 20 years...well...

Iran wouldn't hit a carrier with a missile because they know we'd immediately go to war with them.

Now ask yourself this question.

Would America, if ordered by israel, sink one of our own ships in a ball of hell fire killing thousands of American sailors just so they could blame it on Iran? You know the answer to that one.
