Must say bartering as a form of a full blown economy does sound pretty f&g.
Sounds like the kind of thing gay people would say is a "solution to our federal reserve problem" instead of just cleaning house of fake ass wipes as money, the income tax, and letting foreigners print your money without oversight at all.
Pelts, lead, powder, rye and corn whiskey, apple jack, salt pork... Thing is you barterd things that would store. No one is walking 12 miles for broccoli, you grow that yourself.
You’ve never traded stuff you’ve made? Have you ever created something with your own resources? Often times instead of turning it into cash you can get more of something else you would have inevitably spent more cash on.
Rely completely on bartering? Only possible if you panhandle for most everything else lol
So this guy says that within pre-monetary societies people just gave each other shit and worked for free? Now that sounds fake and gay to me. Neolithic societies like Cucuteni-Trypilia had towns with tens of thousands of people in them. That guy is a libshit.

Rural Colonial Americans bartered FAR more than you would think.
