A man who was out protesting against ICE raids in downtown Los Angeles this week spoke with KTLA after an officer’s close-range shot to his groin with a rubber bullet severely bruised one of his testicles… and “shattered” the other.
“It sucks to sit down,” the 33-year-old demonstrator, Martin Santoyo, said to start off the interview.
In April, 1975, as the US was pulling out of Vietnam, the government took the half-Vietnamese/half American GI babies from the orphanages in Saigon and flew them to the US. We knew that the GI babies would all get killed by the commies. I remember that happening.
There are documentaries and old news stories on YouTube about this. These stories carefully fail to mention why we took these particular orphans in a nation full of orphans, but I remember why: the kids were half White sons and daughters of Americans.
