For most of the civilized world, we're still living off of last year's food stores and supplies. We haven't hit the big hump yet. I'm guessing that's gonna be shortly after or around Christmas. Maybe spring, if things hold out well. People will have adjusted from this year and are already planning gardens for next year so your garden supplies will be scarce or expensive. Get anything you need to grow shit and amend your soil now. I know I am.

To be clear, every single student who could NOT immediately start repayments knows about forbearance, income based repayment plans, their interest rates, etc. etc, because the loan provider *is required* to tell them all of these options on the phone when they call in to make payment arrangement plans. Not a single one of them does not know this.
In order to dress it up and make it a point they'll read or listen to instead of saying "ur communist, wants fee gibs", I've used the (valid) point that the student debt forgiveness is discriminatory because anyone who was adult enough to read the loan terms and the amortization schedule and the interest rate knew either from reading or by watching their balances go up that the federal interest rate of 9+% was predatory and designed to keep you a financial slave. If you refinanced to get away from that predatory rate and to a rate closer to 6%, your loans became private and therefore ineligible for this new bullshit move. People who were smart enough to do this are now being punished.
Further, *everyone's* taxes go up by upwards of $2500 annually.
The real adults are being "double punished."
I tell them that all I want is to see my tax money used equally instead of discriminating any class of people. If it was a federal loan that was refinanced, they should be equally forgiven.
*They can't even use the term "equity" because that means "equal outcome".* Equity in this shit would mean every single person would have a different amount forgiven based on balance, income, etc. etc. and it wouldn't matter if the loan was private or not.
I tell them that I demand my taxes be used *equally* and that I'm being forced to participate in this discrimination and class warfare. That my freedom is restricted, my agency ignored, and this is being forced on penalty of death if I refuse to cooperate indefinitely.
If they have anything to say contrary to that, I just point out that they are pro-slavery, anti-equality.
