Be warned, Firefox/Mozilla is full woke and 100% evil.

https://lunduke.substack.com/p/the-firefox-terms-of-use-backlash

They're going to 100% crash when the DOJ stops all Google payments for being a default search as that's 80% of their income/revenue.

IMHO, if you want the Firefox/Gecko engine try Floorp (the other forks of FF are mostly woke/dei crap like Mozilla itself)
If you're okay with Chrome/Blink engine then try Vivaldi

Hope and pray that Ladybird manages to come into existence.

wife is pharmacist, she recently told me of some news she'd seen that showed kickbacks to "peer reviewed" research papers... so, yeah, it's all bullshit.

eh, here's the news blurb:

https://archive.is/eDipY

Personally, I hate that all this BS makes me call into question things that I took for granted before... like the Flu shot. One of her jobs was working for Tamiflu, so she brought home a lot of raw data about the flu over the past century and the flu shot was Actually effective. I don't get them anymore because I don't trust that what's being offered is unadulterated. Her mom's the same way, and is currently in the hospital because flu turned into pneumonia... so, what's worse? Hospitalized and at the hands of niggers because you don't trust an industry for something that had been established for decades?

You fucking assholes ruined me.

I put it on my 6a the day it arrived and have run nothing else. Irony that my wife has the same phone and mine is easily the more reliable....

You know that any/every state can choose to end the insanity at ANY FUCKING TIME, right? They just have to pick "winter" time... which is what AZ and HI did. Absolutely Nothing stopping this from happening immediately on a state by state basis. The Fed only made it verboten to choose DST/"summer" time as the only time.

So, bitch to your state reps... not the national ones.

Standard time is superior anyway.

Be smarter...

Learn where you can get a homestead exemption, and what it includes. If you can't get one that locks in the taxable value of your home, pick somewhere else. My house is taxed at HALF what the county says it's "worth" simply because they keep adjusting its value up from when I first bought and had the value set to my purchase price. Ah yes, you can appeal the assessed value too, I submitted my purchase price as "value" instead of their made up number and knocked the value in half before locking it in with homestead.

All I have to do is be the owner-occupant.

Be smart enough to know that locked value doesn't mean taxes never change, that's dependent on the millage rate which changes all the freaking time.

Most people are too stupid to understand these basics. Of the ~4 homes I've owned over the years, 100% of them had homestead exemptions available. Shit, where I am now you can stack the fuckers, be owner-occupant AND over 65, or disabled or... can't remember the 3rd one. The additions give a set reduction of the Taxable value (so $100k property has a taxable value of $40k without, and $30k with one of the extras).

That $15,311.43 tax bill would be a $1,718,888 Valued property where I live. Valuation tends to be about half what real world market would bear, so somewhere between $3~4million property, and I have one of those on my east side. No fucking tear shed for that fucker. They're either leveraged up to their eyeballs and should fucking move somewhere cheaper or richer than the overwhelming majority of the world and can gargle my jizz.

Shit, the Median (price in the middle, not the average ~ double the average actually) house price of the most expensive places to own property is only $1m... just to add perspective.

I've known I've had this since sometime in the early 1980's. I was into competitive target shooting and the coaches were always harping on visualization, "seeing" a match through in your head and I could never do it. One of them was ALWAYS saying "what happens when I say "don't think of a pink elephant? ~ you see one, don't you" and I was like, nope... I logically knew what he was talking about, could remember seeing them in cartoons, but I don't "see" images when I close my eyes. At best, I "see" snow, like what used to happen on TV at midnight when it went off the air, but usually it's just blackness, occasionally interrupted with something that resembles a pebble tossed into a still pond of water, Maybe with a muted color attached.

And trust me, I fucking Tried to make it work as that is a universal "truth" to highly performing people and I continued down the shooting path into the Olympic Team Trials for both Beijing and London. I've put in my 10,000 hours.

As for your theories... I was allowed an hour of TV a day growing up, except for the few years we didn't have one. I went through school with just under a 4.0 GPA (kinda fucked because I was in AP classes that weighted as a 5) and managed to retire at the age of 43 and still holding.

I've lived in DC/NYC/Boston, and I've lived in Atlanta (as well as some western states). South, at least GA and the surrounding states, suck. It'll take seconds to have nigger fatigue here. I arrived without a good understanding of racism, now I'd gladly end that race if it were within my ability.

Look west. Boise, ID is exploding right now but there are lots of places with opportunity. Avoid the Front Range of CO (CO Springs to Ft Collins).

I have honey bees so I have to be careful. I use a dilute boric acid (roach killer) sugar solution. Talking about half gallon jug of apple juice, half full of juice, a tsp of boric acid and topped off with water. Pour it in old cans/cups with a stick so they can land and drink easily. It's strong enough to kill, but not instantly so they carry it back to the main nest and share with all the others. No where near enough sugar to attract bees.

This works best in the spring when the nests are small/still getting established, but the only difference between then and now is how long it takes (1 week vs probably a month for total eradication).

While prices have risen, you cheapen your argument with the over-exaggeration. My food/household goods budget is roughly 25% more vs 2019. I may have altered my shopping habits some too, but still eat good steak/pork (usually 4h animals I split with family).

It absolutely is NOT double or triple the cost.

I remember being pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across it years ago.... but it's not a horror, maybe as the 5th or 6th descriptor. It's very much comedy first.

Want something more horror forward but with comedy, I'm a big fan of "Drag Me to Hell". The ending is Exactly what I always root for... but I won't ruin it for anyone who's not seen this movie.

This one is a "make sure the juice is worth the squeeze" scenario...

5% home and 7% auto... no.

6% home and 25% credit card... hell yes.

And beware the "house/property is an asset" trap... if you have to put money into a thing to keep it, it's a liability. It can appreciate in value and Still be a liability.... if you lose your income and don't pay taxes, you can lose that "asset". Just a bad mental mindset to adopt. I know, it's contrary to what's commonly spewed forth... but so was standing up and criticizing the convid/vax bs. Engage your brain and think about it. Assets aren't threatened by loss of income.

/v/DebtFree viewpost?postid=64a3a6da2a5be

You need to tie this in with a "Buy it for life" undertone.... better to spend money on a Good product, that can be repaired and/or maintained than an endless string of disposable crap that has to be trashed/replaced.

/v/NewSubIntro viewpost?postid=64a1ab0f85589

I've been there (can't smell or taste anything beyond sweet/salty/bitter) for about 6~7 years now. full time since just before convid. I've been "smell training" for roughly 2 years straight now and Nothing has come back.

On the bright side, my wife doesn't run me out of the house with her farts anymore... so there's that.

Nevermind the tie between mouth health and heart health. The quickest way to damage your heart is to neglect your mouth (do your own research, but the helping info is that gums that bleed easily are due to bacteria, and now that bacteria has a direct route to the blood stream).

I don't mind dentists, but then I've been working hard on taking care of my teeth for a long time. BTW, I don't use store-bought toothpaste (or any other mouth chemicals) ~ wife makes a tooth-powder out of calcium, DE and some other stuff. It supposedly heals cavities, all I know is that it's no worse than the shit you can buy.

I've been to both, would 10000% pick Iceland over Hawaii. Sadly, I was married in Hawaii (many decades ago) and my wife has fond attachments there and none (other than a couple visits since 2018) for Iceland.

The only advice I have for Iceland (actually relevant to all life) is to avoid anything that's overly advertised. We fell for the Blue Lagoon sticht, it was lame, expensive, crowded and so very much not worth it beyond the convenience factor (perfectly fit in a layover window).

What I read is that the people you hang out with/witness are gay... and also have beards.

That says more about you than anyone with a beard.

kids are off living their own lives... but June 1 is my anniversary, so the wife and I are taking the week off to spend together. No firm plans beyond splurging on groceries for some stellar meals, brought home a couple cases of wine the other week.

Research Thomas Midgley Jr. He's responsible for the loss of IQ around the world, but mostly concentrated in developed countries.

Need help getting motivated? leaded gas.

I opted for a 3rd gen 4runner. Toyota made just shy of a billion of the damn things, they're fucking Everywhere, which means parts are everywhere. As a bonus, it's that sweet spot of age when there was just enough electronics to make for a comfortable vehicle, but not so much as to be the constant nanny vehicle (had and sold a 2018 Mazda the wife wanted because it was such a nanny-mobile).

If you're worried about SHTF for real, you need something that runs without computers. That means carb, points and the knowledge to keep them running (and convert to alcohol, which will be easier to come by than gas). Mine that fits that is a 1982 Toyota LandCruiser (FJ60) ~ though it's the toy car for reasons that have Nothing to do with SHTF, I don't believe that will ever happen and if it does, it'd be luck to live through it anyway so why prepare?

/v/cars viewpost?postid=6457c59687dca

This is one of those "in a perfect world" situations. The kind that is nothing but a miserable failure in the real world.

My parents want so badly to never burden me that I'm told of near death experiences Months later. Major car accidents, GI bleeds with ambulance and ICU stay, back surgery... which was elective, but still. They've talked about ending their own lives so they will never be a burden.

But, unironically, if you like the idea of caring for your parents, you're free to do so (if they allow... lol, you're Not suggesting taking away free will, are you?) Strange that someone here would think that it's right/good/acceptable to force their beliefs on others ~ very un-voat-like.

Took it up 4 years ago, just pulled the spring mite treatment and put on supers yesterday.

Things I've learned: Everything written about beekeeping is contradictory. I've concluded that no one knows anything but what works for them in a Very narrow range of experience.

Local bee clubs and forums are a waste of time.

It's expensive as fuck to get started, with a Massive learning curve. There's a reason there are so few people who keep bees. I think we were in for ~$2k for just 2 hives between the nucs, hive bodies, protective equipment, etc...

There are bee KEEPERS and bee HAVERS ~ it's an Active hobby, not a passive one. Apparently it Used to be more passive, 2+ decades ago before small hive beetle and varroa mites were brought into the US. Expect to spend an hour a week the first year (assuming 2 hives).

Overall, it's enjoyable enough as a hobby. Didn't do jack shit for my garden... bees don't forage close and tend to pick the nectar/pollen source that's most abundant (around me, that tends to be trees). Watching the hives swarm and not having a clue how to handle (or prevent) it was frustrating.

/v/AskVoat viewpost?postid=640f0e911f54e

Foulbrood is no laughing manner, it's split into 2 ~ AFB (American) and EFB (European). AFB has no treatment, you burn the hive, equipment and all. If it's next to other hives (most put 4 hives on a pallet), they all get destroyed.

Now, am I gonna vaxx my bees? no.

If you're worried about your honey, don't. The shit you buy in stores isn't "honey" to begin with (3rd most faked food item on the planet), and if you're seeking out a local source, they're on the same level as a backyard egg producer, looking to satisfy their own needs and selling the excess. They aren't going to be doing weird shit to their own supply.

That's just immaturity. Lack of prefrontal cortex development (maybe further hindered by drinking/drugs).... Looks like nigger mentality because it's shortsighted and childish. Male brains don't finish developing till 25, and the last to develop is the cause and effect part. Can't make good decisions.

I'd back-burner the kid. Make him pay his dues with time to see if work ethic is even there, then have the "come to Jesus" talk that is "either get properly taught or find another line of work". I'm a little gun-shy about turning someone loose just because they do better with on the job training, mostly because *I* learned on the job without formal education and made it to the top position in my chosen field after a couple decades (different companies, I was hired into the position, not promoted into it). Of course, there wasn't a lot of money on the line in IT (I'd work on backups, so there was only a loss of my time.)

Nothing new here...

Lost a family member who slipped in the shower and hit her head... more of my family have died while showering than while motorcycling.
