I bet it's the greater-than symbol in the middle.

...and it is. When I put the symbol in this post it also appeared invisible. The markup handling is pretty beta from what I've seen since it was implemented a month or so ago.

Weird. If it was poal I'd assume AOU is algoing again but I don't think system does that kind of thing.
