The issue here has more to do with Chinese law than the morality of Chinese people.

In China, if you were to help that lady, you would be responsible for her injuries and would have to pay her. There is no "good Samaritan law" like we have in the west. The assumption is "if you help her it's because you're responsible for her being injured"

If you hit her and she dies, you will have to pay her family a lump sum. If she is injured and disabled, you would have to pay her regularly for the rest of her life.

Blame it on their culture but the same shit happens here.

Bunch of people saying the chinese have no empathy or that its a fake for insurance. None of that could be true, or it might be true, but the reason no one cares, is because if in any case, anyone that goes to help immediately becomes liable. This is Chinese law. In most cases it is not because they have no empathy, it is because the government holds every party involved as an accessory to the event.

You may have missed the law party. The government has created a system of accountability that applies to every one. It's law that if you get involved you can be liable for all costs or blame. Even if you are a bystander. Most other communist countries historically never really had this as law.

While I agree that they have a lesser level of empathy, in this situation, you can tell this person is basically doing an NBA nigger flop. They even look up at one point and lay back down. Anyone that moves to assist will be wrapped up in a civil suit. Those people don't know there's a camera watching. I had a nigger try falling out of his wherlchair right in front of me while I was working in the city with a company truck. I completely ignored him and went on my way. Best decision I could make in that situation.

Yes. I think it is a combination of being the bug people and the years of brutal communism and a shit legal system. They say that is why you see those videos in China of someone runs over a person and they are still alive so they back over them to kill them as it is cheaper to pay for a funeral cost then to pay out compensation to the injured party for the rest of their lives.

No, I have never seen anything even remotely close to that amongst my people. I'm aware of a group think that will cause people to ignore a crime in their face, but that is completely different and I've seen several examples from China.

It shouldnt take more than simply paying attention. There have even been news articles of people just walking around a dead homeless body because they never cared enough to know if the homeless person was dead or alive.

As for being as bad as the video above I wouldnt say that. Chinks tend to act as if it never happened. Not so much as a glance spared. Americans tend to acknowledge it and do nothing but gawk.
Since the body in this video is in the middle of the road and not to the side of it Americans would very likely stop traffic. If it landed on the side of the road though im not sure what would be done. Not all America is the same. Im not saying everywhere has the issue all the time just that the issue exists.

As for the TV thing it isnt good to assume. Both on the TV consumption and the influence it has.
Its been somewhere around decade or two since I did much watching of TV. Aside from walking past others watching it or seeing a show with a youth TV is nearly non existent in my life.
