The argument from a genetic origin has no real impact on most cases of evaluating some behavioral traits as being a disorder or not, and that should be the case, else we'd have many very serious problems with people who are dysfunctional but not defined in such a way that they could have their behaviors treated on a professional level, or researched into.
If we were to hold homos to the same judgement, it'd actually be a very easy conclusion that they are mentally ill and should be qualified as such.
