Fallout 4 Review

submitted by Swej_Ehtsag to gaming 3.3 yearsJan 19, 2022 22:15:48 ago (+11/-0)     (gaming)

I never played any of the other Fallout games but played Skyrim which is pretty much what Fallout 4 is but instead of forests and mountains it's a nuclear wasteland. It's the same basic system as Skyrim, go on missions, side quests and level up.

The biggest and really only major change is they had a side feature where you could barricade towns, ala Minecraft style, and defend your towns. I enjoyed the feature but it felt like an after thought and not fully flushed out. The game would have been incredible if they had put more time into that feature.

The game, like Skyrim, had different choices with different outcomes, but none seemed interesting enough to take the time to play the game a second time through. It had a lot of faggy themes like inclusion and discrimination bullshit, which I mostly ignored. Future is full of niggers like anything else, which takes all the reality out of the game because niggers can't survive without EBT and guvment handouts now, what kind of fucktard thinks they would survive a nuclear holocaust?

Overall I think I enjoyed the game and it had some interesting features, but if you never play it I don't think you are missing anything. If they ever create another one and fix the town building feature and vary up the environment a bit, I think that would be a definite play.

It fucking sucks. New Vegas is the only Fallout worth a damn. and Skyrim licks balls compared to Oblivion.

Even though the fighting sucked in Morrowind, I think it was far superior to both Skyrim and Oblivion.

I guess if I had to choose between nuclear holocaust and niggers I'd choose nuclear holocaust.

New Vegas was the best fps fallout. Buy the originals, the first two games are like $5 on steam.

I had a mixed experience. The machine i played most of my hours on was barely up to the task and after a couple of pretty basic but kinda necessary mods would not usually chug but would crash randomly a fair amount which destroyed a lot of the fun of walking half the map because why not only to have to start again. Strangely enough, vorpx + riftcat + Samsung VR headgear meant being able to run full wireless Fallot 4 in vr (NOT 'Fallout 4 VR' the full price title despite being identical to the non vr version) far more reliably, although its.. not going to be immersive until there is a real alternative to feel like youre walking. the leaning and covershooting worked well and was actually entertaining.

Running it on a far more kickass hades canyon through the tv it runs brilliantly and while you cant do much about the base world itself, theres enough mods around that you can pretty much create your own game anyway and fuck around to your hearts content.

Between SS uniforms unlimited companion mods weapon sets and settlement synth construction mods plus 'send settler to...' abilities i found myself running around with a bodyguard of heavily armed amazons managing a few little decent settlements and making sure certain people had walls around them guarded by synth clones in ss uniforms and gasmasks...

I still enjoy it now and enjoy the base game. Fallout 76 id be ok with if it was not online, its very pretty theres some great stuff but im not a multiplayer gamer.

EDIT - this gonna sound dumb but one thing i like about the fallout series and a couple others as opposed to a couple of other games i play with similar open world stuff going like prey or no mans sky is that if you can see a chair, you can sit the fuck down in it and do nothing for a while, instead of, say running out of 200 degree burnie heat into an abandoned 'living pod' walking up to an CHAIR X and slapping it around like a fuckwit instead of chilling the fuck out and finding the weed stash and riding out the storm in comfort?

Fallout 4 was dogshit. Fun for 2 hours and then the repetitive loop becomes grueling. Game is unbalanced, easy to break, building mode is entirely useless, settlements are a novelty feature, perks are pointless and change nothing.

All of the above would have even been forgivable except the unforgivable decision to make the dialogue shallow and the options fake. People play games to play games not to witness some arrogant writers jerk themselves off. The dialogue options all having the same result means the game is entirely linear, no rpg at all.

You add the worthless dialogue to the braindead combat and tedious exploration and you have an extremely underwhelming shit game that's not worth playing. Watch a video if you want to see the story. There's no accomplishment here.

It's Water Baron Simulator 2015, it's all about making caps from water purification and getting all the cool shit.

its a bitch when youre trying to pretend to legitimately raise a small army by building up completely identical silenced StG 44s. theres never enough screws and aluminium.

once you get into a rythm with copying container contents in front of you they quickly pile up tho.
