For those who don't know:

O negative blood is a universal donor, meaning that anyone of any blood type can receive blood from them.

Unfortunately, they can only receive from O- donors, which make up about ~7% of the American population. This is one of the reasons I always gave blood when in-theatre, you never knew when another O- would need it.
