The version I heard was much longer and more hilarious. At one point they stop and the sailors have some shore leave and they pick up some pet gators and snakes and bring them back on board. Where they escape and cant be found and eat people. They fight themselves more than once and get lost and I have no idea how much is true because its all completely fucked up hilarity

Makes the fact they were the 1st to discover Antarctica almost 100 years before that, seem much less believable.
