That is a very real concern. I stumbled on a prepper website last year in which the guy talked about why he got into prepping. According to his story he was in Egypt with his girlfriend in 2011 when the jew-inspired revolution kicked off. There was rioting in the streets and foreigners were being hunted down for various reasons.

This couple happened upon some friendly local who said they can stay with him. The local guy was prepared for the shit hitting the fan. He had built up a 8' high wall around his property as well as stocking up on food and water. He had several freezers loaded with meat and other perishable items. Then the electricity went out.

The guy told his guests they had better start cooking the meat before it goes bad. They were outside roasting it while the locals were still in the streets rioting on the other side of his walls. Suddenly the homeowner became alarmed and and started kicking dirt into the fire. He then ran into his house, and came back outside with a loaded 9MM handgun.

The couple asked what was going on, and the homeowner said the people on the other side of the wall smelled the cooking and were talking about how to scale the walls. (People were unable to get food for days because of the rioting.) Right after he spoke several men appeared at the top of the wall. The homeowner started shooting at them, but there were too many coming over. They were focused on getting the food and the homeowner and didn't pay much attention to the foreign couple.

The rioters were shooting back at the homeowner and chased him into his house while others started eating the meat that was cooked. The foreign couple hid in some bushes and watched. Hundreds of people came over the wall as food was brought out to them. Eventually the corpse of the homeowner was brought out and tossed to the side as the crowd ate and drank.

Everybody forgot about the foreign couple and they were able to sneak out of the guy's yard after it got dark. This incident made the guy realize that the system can collapse in a matter of days and can happen anywhere.

Use it as bait, then kill them and use them as pet food.

In Africa, food is almost everywhere, growing on trees etc.

That will almost make it worth it!

A few reasons I know of but not an exhaustive list: they culled a ton of animals during the "pandemic," several major fertilizer plants burned down or mysteriously closed up shop, Ukraine is a major exporter of grain.
