The url I use is voat.xyz and the banner on top says VOAT.

It started as voat.xyz (which still works) and looking like Voat (and still does if you use the style), but @system decided to rebrand to make it his own. Or maybe he had doubts whether it was a worthy successor. If memory serves, some of the usual troublemakers were kicking up drama over using the same name and style without formal blessing from Putt.

I think it more than lives up to the name. Just needs more users. Which keeping the familiar brand might have helped with.

It wasn't a matter of formal blessing from Putt. It was "system" going on a banning spree and not being able to live up to the reputation of true Voat. So after mimicking true Voat to gain users, he tried to rebrand as "talk.lol".

It uses the voat code. Mimic, I guess. The other site was abandoned and this started with a fresh database. Which sucks, but what you gonna do?
