It's become customary and considered good form in the US.
Many states even allow for a lower minimum wage for servers since tipping is part of the job.
You're even supposed to report it for income tax (proving once again that exemplary performance is punished, not encouraged.)

I did bussing, hosting, and waitering for tips for two years. While expected that niggers would not tip, I still did my job. Of course they were last to get service, but still.

This modern even White "gibs me my tip" is faggot level. 20% used to be a huge tip. Now, that is considered below average or some shit and they want 30%. Fuck that.

They should pay daily minimum wage +deppreciation/milage to the drivers.

I think a $10 delivery tip is fine, even if it's only 5% of the total. They already make a full wage, the tip is just to make the order more appealing.

Anyway, I'm in Asia in the deep county. The food apps atleast pay milage here and a delivery fee to the driver. Most people do not tip at all. So the equivalent of the $.34 is well received.

At this point I've been gone so long I don't think I'd be able to integrate back into the US's bullshit system.

I worked in hospitality industry for a while. Never asked for a tip. Never expected a tip. Imagine my dismay when I walk into a subway to buy a sandwich and the paki fuck points at the tip jar before I've even paid for the order or eaten the sandwich. And some years ago I was at a restaurant where you pay before the food arrives, and they ask for the tip before any service or food is even delivered.
