One acquaintance and one friend each have a girl and a boy. Both boys exceled in remote studies and both girls hated it and jumped when school went back to in person schooling.
I was so upset because the one boy really struggled in brick and mortar schools and to hear about him doing better like that and feel better about himself was great to hear about. But when they gave the option of in person or remote the mother ( acquaintance) told him he was going back despite him wanting to stay remote.

I understand the article and I agree but I've known a couple 10+ looking guys in my life and both were retards. Shit was too easy so they just ambled through life. I don't think they'd be making good grades.

Why are psychologists judging grade schoolers’ looks in the first place?

Attractiveness at it's core is a measure of good genetics. People with good genetics will perform better in school than people with shit genetics.

Without social pressure to look good or take care of one-self because there's no classmates sitting next to you, you had a lot of students relaxing on extra-curriculars, not exercising, consuming the soy and their grades dropped. This is a measure of lowering standards for people who would normally take better care. It's also a misgnomer to not acknowledge genetics leading into attractiveness from the start. And there's probably a 20% factor that being well dressed, having hair combed, and smelling nice are all factors of providing parents who care and sweat the details. Parents who care and sweat the details will have superior offspring who behave better and perform better.

This is easy to explain. Attractiveness is also positively correlated with athletic success, which indicates that attractiveness is itself a product of achievement rather than the other way around. The attractive men maintaining their scores in a remote environment confirms this.

So, why did the attractive women decline? Simple: they are not actually the attractive women. Most likely they are the ones with the best makeup, hair and style. If you scored the women without makeup you would invariably choose a different group as the attractive women group and their scores would match the male result in remote conditions.
