I will say that when friends came out it was not viewed as this upbeat show that it is now. If you listen to the theme song it talks about how they didn't know that life was going to be this way that your job sucked and this that and the other. It was a downer show for a generation that was being told to get used to the idea they're going to have less than the generation for. Now it just so happens that it had a lot of good looking people in it and in today when they're almost no good looking people on TV anymore this is looked back though on with nostalgia for good looking people.

My favorite episode is the episode where Monica wears the 88 t-shirt and apparently nobody had a clue what the hell it was and it's never mentioned in the show.

It did more damage making people think they could live in a beautiful, massive apartment in Greenwich Village and spend hours at a coffee shop where you drink out of massive cups on your own reserved couch no one else uses. It gave them a big sense of entitlement.

I watched this show in its entirety last year and I can only say that anon's post is only the tip of the (((iceberg))). And he's only partly right about the damage the show has done. As others have pointed out here, sex and the city was likely more damaging to Gen X, but I'm sure this filth also had a big helping hand. Also, it's not only gen X that was affected. I'd say that if there was a generation that this trash singlehandedly ruined, it'd be millennials. A lot of them basically grew up watching this. Sadly, it's even popular with zoomers and I'm afraid it might be watched by some of the older members of generation alpha soon, if not already. The kikes who created this abomination need to burn for what they've done.

Not quite. The show that really did it was “Sex and the City.” “Friends” is relatively innocuous compared to that.
