I like it more than Ubuntu already.

I've been on mint for about 4 years now. Every year the amount of new hardware that works on linux out the box is staggering. If you're using linux it works better with amd cards. Nvidia is a piece of shit on open source.

I both love and hate Linux. Mint is decent if you want a windows-like experience from what I remember last time I used it. Seems like it's always just a little clunky though, and it's always lacking for some important thing I end up needing (as a desktop os anyway)

With what windows has turned into and what apple is like it seems there's nothing good out there anymore.

If linux isn’t an option there are torrents of trimmed down win10 versions without bloatware, without spyware. Win11 is absolute kaka. I’d still use win 7 but lots of software has terminated it’s support. All by design, of course. Never use os updates, turn them off if possible (it is on win10).

Sign up for publisher's clearing house emails. They will send you emails with search buttons for prize entries and tokens. About twenty a day. Search terms by pounding random keys on the keyboard. You will screw with telemetry so bad they will not know what to do with you.

just find the actual exe files, load up group policy and block the execution. easy peasy.

Yeah I tried that with 10 and the fucking thing still restarted on me while I was in the middle of something. Group policy is only followed when (((they))) allow it to be.

just based on my experience probably a different exe was called. example you can just add chrome.exe and chrome will never run.

could be that update host is subversive and runs via svchost in which case you can't block the exe.

leave the windows firewall on and block everything from your host in your security appliance and see what's talking. you can also install netmon
