Based suv recommendations.

submitted by MaryXmas to cars 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 11:36:54 ago (+7/-0)     (cars)

What would you guys suggest as a next suv? Few seats, good gas mileage, 4wd or awd. good for dog transportation. Maybe a vinyl storage area for the mud? Built in area where I can store my ar-15 and Hawaiian shirt for the upcoming boogaloo. This sounds like a Subaru to me.

Not enough important details. I guess I'd recommend a 2 door jeep Wrangler or a Ford excursion or something in between.

For real though, pull into a Mazda dealership when none of your friends can see you and check out the new models. Report back when you see that I wasn't lying.

My wife wants a Mazda. Yeah? They are cheaper than the competing wagons/small frame suvs but I can't tell why. I think Buick is also cheaper.

They're very nice and the ergonomics are great. They're doing a lot of stuff right that US car companies aren't.

early 90s Cherokee

You know the boogaloo bois are tranny loving fags that support BLM but hate antifa, right?

Bois = twinks, effeminate men, usually homo. And Subaru is the official car of the dykes.

Get you a Ford or Chevy.

[ - ] MaryXmas [op] 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 16:31:29 ago (+1/-0)

Didn't know that about the boogaloos. Guess I will have to start my own party.

From what I've gleaned the "THEY LOVE TRANNIES" is because they are a single-issue group typically representing a radical Libertarian NO STEP ON SNEK view.

Lolberts are delusional don't get me wrong, but the "THEY LOVE TRANNIES" angle is a bit myopic.

Subaru. Toyota. But there is one vehicle that rules them all but you would have to take a man test and prove to me that you are the real deal before I would ever utter its name. Most people do not even know it is the goat. Ima redneck. You can take my word on this.

[ - ] Spaceman84 2 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:33:43 ago (+2/-0)

Jeep Cherokee XJ with the 4.0 I6 and a manual transmission.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:36:36 ago (+1/-0)

No, but that would be my 2nd choice. They are excellent vehicles with the right set-up.

[ - ] MaryXmas [op] 2 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 16:37:10 ago (+2/-0)

Alright? What's the man test? How to shave with a straight razor? I use a dovo. How to cut down a tree? I use a pro echo timberwolf. How to clean a throttle body? Yep, done that, breaks too. Replace and clean my own carbs? Best way to clean em is with diesel.

... so you're gonna say "lariat"?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 2 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 20:30:37 ago (+2/-0)

Nein. Suzuki Samurai. https://www.motortrend.com/features/suzuki-samurai-history-generations-models-differences/

I know they look small but my tall ass fits in there perfectly like it was made for me. It goes like a tank. Good on gas. Very dependable. I've made many a 4-wheeling man a believer! I used to go mod-bogging 'bout every weekend and the old Ford Bronc's and Jeeps would get stuck in a hole but my Sammy would go through like it wasn't shit. It was a beast!

[ - ] MaryXmas [op] 2 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 21:44:01 ago (+2/-0)

I can respect that.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:14:27 ago (+1/-0)

I doubt he wants 90's long body Ford truck. You can't possibly be talking about anything else (;

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:17:07 ago (+0/-0)

No. But they are nice hahahaha. I'm actually a Chevy/GMC guy but what I'm talking about is neither Ford or Chevy.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:18:48 ago (+0/-0)

I'm still thinking about what it could be. IH scout?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:23:12 ago (+1/-0)

No way. My dad had an old diesel International Scout back in the day. lol I wouldn't give one of those to a nigger.

If you’re buying new go with Mazda. Shit, if you’re buying used they’re cheaper than Toyota or Honda too. A fully loaded CX-9 can be had for less than a Highlander or Pilot. Mazda quality has been getting better and better in recent years.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 13:40:11 ago (+1/-0)

I made the same argument for Mazda earlier. Feels weird though, right?

[ - ] ItsOk2bArian 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 15:42:08 ago (+1/-0)

Don't get anything new that you can't service and repair yourself. If SHTF happens, your local dealership won't be very useful. I recommend a basic old school Tahoe or something like that. They used to be built like tanks and all the maintenance service can be D.I.Y.
Today's vehicles can't get fuckin' oil change without be hooked up to a computer with proprietary software

[ - ] 2Drunk 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:26:55 ago (+0/-0)

Manual transmission.....

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 13:12:13 ago (+0/-0)

They don't exist part 2016 unless you spend huge money putting one in yourself and voiding the warranty.

[ - ] 2Drunk 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 13:15:40 ago (+0/-0)

I think I made it to 2023 until I completely gave up.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 19:24:39 ago (+1/-1)

That's demonstrably not true. Why would you write a blatant falsehood?

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 22:22:52 ago (+0/-0)

This is every new car for sale in the US in 2023 available in a manual transmission. The list was bigger than I thought.

[ - ] Kozel 1 point 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 22:48:03 ago (+1/-0)

You said 2016.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 22:50:44 ago (+0/-0)

I has understood that after 2016, new cars were mostly doing away with their manual transmissions. I am surprised to see so many models still have the option. Mainly sports cars, but I think I saw 2 or so SUV's.

As for the jeeps with manual transmissions. Good luck finding one. They say that they are available, but I haven't seen one in years.

Lexus hybrid SUV.

Practically bullet proof. One of the best cars I've ever owned

[ - ] NoRefunds 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 18:54:03 ago (+0/-0)

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

Got one, it is badass, 25 MPG for long trips, is able to actually off-road.

[ - ] anothergoatinthewall 0 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 20:55:19 ago (+0/-0)

I opted for a 3rd gen 4runner. Toyota made just shy of a billion of the damn things, they're fucking Everywhere, which means parts are everywhere. As a bonus, it's that sweet spot of age when there was just enough electronics to make for a comfortable vehicle, but not so much as to be the constant nanny vehicle (had and sold a 2018 Mazda the wife wanted because it was such a nanny-mobile).

If you're worried about SHTF for real, you need something that runs without computers. That means carb, points and the knowledge to keep them running (and convert to alcohol, which will be easier to come by than gas). Mine that fits that is a 1982 Toyota LandCruiser (FJ60) ~ though it's the toy car for reasons that have Nothing to do with SHTF, I don't believe that will ever happen and if it does, it'd be luck to live through it anyway so why prepare?

[ - ] usedoilanalysis 0 points 2 yearsJun 10, 2023 11:30:06 ago (+0/-0)

How big do you want it to be? I'm all Honda, the new Ridgeline is nice, AWD, no expensive VTEC, good power, and fuel economy. It actually can go offroad.

If she just wants something to get her around town, CR-V is now a full size cross-over.

[ - ] MaryXmas [op] 1 point 2 yearsJun 10, 2023 12:00:57 ago (+1/-0)

Crv is now a full size cross over.. what does that mean? Are they bigger? I like the hrv so maybe that will be a good choice. I would need to get some decent mud mats though.

[ - ] usedoilanalysis 0 points 2 yearsJun 10, 2023 12:18:54 ago (+0/-0)

Weather-tech makes the best mats by far. Tux-mat is also really good.

This is how the tux mats fit in my car. I had to trim it slightly so it wouldn't butt up against the AC condensate drain.

Mazda isn't building an electric car, I love my Subaru.

vinyl storage and hawaiian shirts are for fags and feds so eat shit and go buy a Rivian.

Subarus are gutless. Get an Explorer ST

[ - ] Conspirologist -3 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 12:21:32 ago (+0/-3)

Let's start from the basics. AWD is a SUV. 4WD is a real off road car.

I buy only Japanese cars, because of the top quality and fair price.

I always visit all the dealers and see what they have to offer.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 3 points 2.1 yearsMay 7, 2023 13:44:14 ago (+3/-0)

You don't drive, and OP's not talking about pill dealers. Silly faggot.
