Hamish-"Yeah, just like me flat in london"

You mean diverse border crossing enrichment bigot!

They might have died right away. If the hull buckled during descent because of structural weakness, pretty much instant death. That is probably what happened.

Carbon Fibre hull 6" thick and Iirc ever tested to full dive depth till now.

Not that I give a shit. They took risks, died, that's life

That entire machine is an exercise in new-age idiot commies who know more about soy-lattes than engineering.

titanium coffin
Its carbon fiber! Do the research!

[ - ] uvulectomy 3 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 19:35:41 ago (+3/-0)

Carbon fiber with titanium domes at each end. And probably some shitty seals between that failed.

[ - ] Pasty 2 points 1.9 yearsJun 22, 2023 00:24:59 ago (+2/-0)

They had six screws holding equipment driven into the carbon fibre hull and the bolts holding the door on weren't properly checked for tourqe.

What a shitshow. "Hey, let's bolt this thing shut with no way to open it in an emergency."

I'd ask if anyone learned from Apollo 1, but seeing as the CEO didn't want "50y/o white males" doing any of the work, I think I have my answer.

Nothing of value was lost. The media wants us to care about this story but I really don't.

[ - ] Ragnar 3 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 17:22:14 ago (+3/-0)

I actually have no exposure to other media at all, and the only reason I know this story is because people keep posting it on this forum

Meanwhile Trump gets imprisoned, hunter plays monopoly and lands on go and gets handed a get out of jail free card.

Moar munny yookrane?!

It is more interesting than most stuff posted here, for example the umpteenth whine post about users pissing and whining about each other.

[ - ] Rowdybme 0 points 1.9 yearsJun 22, 2023 18:44:21 ago (+0/-0)

Ehh it was semi interesting imo. I want to hear more about aliens though

[ - ] Rowdybme 3 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 15:38:12 ago (+3/-0)

Yeah that thing looked sketchy as fuck. Imagine paying 250k just to die like that. Most likely it was a catastrophic failure. They all died pretty much instantly. I think somewhere it said the pressure is as much as if the you had an empire state building made of solid lead.

[ - ] UncleDoug 2 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 15:49:49 ago (+2/-0)

Well the resting place is 3,800 meters and barometric pressure is 1 BAr p/10m approx. So basically 380x atmospheric pressure.
From about 30m you can't even breathe normal air anymore, you have to breathe EANx/nitrox. 2.5-3BAR is what the human body can survive at, potentially 100BAR if using special equipment and trained like a madman.

Now quadruple the pressure and it's like a grape under a hydraulic press.

Is the PS2 controller real

[ - ] Clubberlang 2 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 20:14:35 ago (+2/-0)

Yea it's been around since the mid 90s.

[ - ] NoRefunds 0 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 21:03:21 ago (+0/-0)

No wonder it broke, how they expect it to last that long. Should have used at least ps4 controller.

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 1.9 yearsJun 21, 2023 22:57:32 ago (+0/-0)

I have 2 ps4 controllers that both had the Bluetooth chips die after two years of use.

I don't think it would help.

[ - ] lolxd 0 points 1.9 yearsJun 22, 2023 00:47:06 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah, they literally use xbox controllers in actual navy submarines too.

ALLEGEDLY, The ps2 controller used was a shitty aftermarket controller that had shit reviews because the sticks were shit.
