Passed my chemistry class with 85%. Had to share my victory through after all the hard work.

submitted by MichelleObamasDick to TellUpgoat 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:15:41 ago (+65/-1)     (TellUpgoat)

This was an integrated class covering 3 semesters in one. General chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. It was an accelerated nightmare. Anyone a chemistry whiz around here? Stuff is tough.

Good job, cracker.

Billy was a chemist’s son, alas he is no more.

'Cause what he thought was H2O, was H2SO4.

He thought water was sulfuric acid?

Sigh. facepalm.jpeg

You got it exactly backwards.

(If you're going to downvote an honest answer, then don't ask the fucking question shitstick.)

Deffo an accomplishment to be proud of! I took general chem I, II, and the required lab all in one summer, a truly miserable experience.

[ - ] yesiknow 6 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:18:51 ago (+6/-0)

Good for you.

[ - ] xmasskull 6 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:18:33 ago (+6/-0)

Are you ever going to use any chemistry in your career @ Walmart?

J/K!! yuk,yuk,yuk!! Congrats!! BIG TIME!

Naptha and polyvinyl soap.

Well done white man

3 semesters in one

organic chemistry

Fuck that, congrats on the 85%!

[ - ] 2Drunk 4 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:01:27 ago (+4/-0)

I go about as far as CH3CH2OH. Are you going to start cooking meth now? Congrats on the hard work. I got a 38% in biochemistry and ended up with a B in the class.

[ - ] MichelleObamasDick [op] 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 21:36:54 ago (+2/-0)

That compound looks soluble. And good job in the bio. Shit is tough.

[ - ] CHIRO 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 21:56:54 ago (+3/-0)

I'd say chemistry was my stronger suit back in the day; orgo is especially tough on one's memory. First you have the nomenclature issue, and then a few hundred reaction types. I don't know if things are still like this, but as late as a decade ago, good undergrad tracks for graduate programs in biological sciences and medicine designed orgo to be a 'weed out' course. It's supposed to be hard enough to nix unqualified folks. Orgo sucks. I enjoyed biochem quite a bit. Chromosomes are the Jews of the cell world; diversity is our strength goy: *gets cancer.

Wow, jimmy neutron over here. Congrats!

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:17:14 ago (+3/-0)

Good job faggot!

I was given a choice and took physics instead of chemistry. They're both a hell of a class but you can have a lot of fun once you learn it all.

[ - ] watts2db 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:02:29 ago (+3/-0)

atta boy!!! way to represent ! keep it up Goat!

[ - ] Deadjews 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:54:17 ago (+3/-0)

Congratulations man! My limited understanding is that chemistry is tough even for people who like doing it!

You could make millions becoming the anarchist Cody's Lab?

[ - ] ToNigIsToNog 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:47:18 ago (+3/-0)

if you're planning on a science career, good start. it gets harder.

[ - ] TwistedC 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 13:57:24 ago (+1/-0)

My son is in advanced chemistry honors he wanted me to take him out of it and put him in an easier class. I told him if you go into an easier class you'll be in a classroom full of niggers.

[ - ] Sleazy 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:43:11 ago (+2/-0)

85%, you barely made it, but at least you made it

[ - ] bobdole9 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:45:52 ago (+3/-0)

Depends where they're at, in Murica, that's usually a mid-B grade.

[ - ] Sleazy 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:49:42 ago (+3/-0)

Not when I went to school. 85% was a C at best

[ - ] bobdole9 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:55:24 ago (+3/-0)

Some places let you pass with a 60. Our cutoff was 70%.

Idiocracy in real time.

[ - ] Sleazy 3 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:17:09 ago (+3/-0)

Would you really want your chemist to be incorrect 40% of the time?

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:21:51 ago (+2/-0)

Fuck no, but it doesn't always matter since physical traits are more important nowadays than "the best".

[ - ] Sleazy 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 21:28:28 ago (+2/-0)

Sad but true

[ - ] BulletStopper 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 22:11:27 ago (+2/-0)

What!? And blow up the trailer!? Again!?

[ - ] Monica 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 11:56:13 ago (+1/-0)

No but you're not taking tests when you get a job so you can cheat all you want to get things right. Cheat as in have a book right next to you or a webpage, etc...

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:19:02 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah, our classes were 70%, though I never took chem. I nearly always had a 97-99% though.

[ - ] MichelleObamasDick [op] 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 14:42:00 ago (+1/-0)

Our cut-off was 75% to pass. High standards make it harder, but you come out tougher. 🤷‍♂️

[ - ] Bonanza 2 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:31:29 ago (+2/-0)

Good work!

[ - ] usedoilanalysis 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 09:53:08 ago (+1/-0)

I know basic stuff relating to combustion and chemical kinetics. The process of species formation, propagation, rate limiting steps and things like that. I know some stuff about lubrication and metallurgy. But most of that stuff is regarding surface finish more than chemistry.

[ - ] albatrosv15 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 03:51:38 ago (+1/-0)

You can make yourself onto a national security list just by studying chemistry. Congrats!

[ - ] SteppingRazor 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 23:00:34 ago (+1/-0)

85% is a decent grade, good job.
My kids are in college and would love to take some of those classes again just to refresh.
Those chemical equations are like algebra, so if you can do one you can the other.

[ - ] Trope 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 21:04:12 ago (+1/-0)

I enjoyed chemistry in high school althouh it was very difficult. The following year, my gf was working on her chemistry homework.

“Oh! Balancing electrons!” I exclaimed as I licked my lips; “I remember this!”

I looked at it for 30 seconds before realizing I had forgotten everything, despite my A in the class just the year before, it was all for not.

'naught'

[ - ] PhantomXLII 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:32:26 ago (+1/-0)

Hooooly shit. That is a lot to be taking on at once man. I made high 80's in GenChem I & II and Ochem I & II but uh... I'd fucking fail that.

Probably more profitable creating his own fertilizer.

[ - ] Master_Foo 1 point 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 19:32:27 ago (+1/-0)

It seems like a bad idea to cram all three into one class.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 15:47:17 ago (+0/-0)

now use your skillz to make us some dope designer drugs

[ - ] usedoilanalysis 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 09:53:36 ago (+0/-0)

Congrats most of that stuff goes over my head.

[ - ] prototype 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 07:42:19 ago (+0/-0)

Anyone a chemistry whiz around here?

billy mays here, to tell you the real test that seperates the criminals from the chemists, is the ability to perform a titration!

[ - ] Crackinjokes 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 23, 2023 06:49:22 ago (+0/-0)

Go work for the oil industry. No one else wants to so you'll have your pick up jobs and make tons of money and you'll keep us all with gas to put in our cars which we're going to need with these dumb assholes.

[ - ] Vrbllpollushin 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 22:41:34 ago (+0/-0)

Good job! Now, get to making lethal Crack and weed, and we can end this "replacement" business. Oh, and especially some tainted mozah balls!

[ - ] Bottled_Tears 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 21:22:59 ago (+0/-0)

I did good at the terminology but the math killed me, I don't know why. I'm good at math but I struggled with chemistry math. I haven't done it since high school, I hated it so much.

[ - ] HeyJames 0 points 1.8 yearsAug 22, 2023 20:49:02 ago (+0/-0)

Organic chemistry is supposed to be extremely difficult on its own. Good job.
