Having to pay for online multiplayer is the reason I gave up on consoles even though I prefer using a controller and playing on a TV. Thankfully these days it's easy to connect your PC to a TV and a controller. Still though I really thought consoles would get rid of this requirement. Last time I was online on a console in 2017 or so a lot of the multiplayer lobbies were dead unless it was a major title. It's insane to me they are doubling down on this scam.
Yeah, that was pretty much a system seller for me. When my 360 red ringed, I bought a PS3. Felt like I was getting a much more reliable console, and I didn't have to pay for online stuff.
I had two PS Plus accounts during the PS4 era when my son and I had a couple of PS4s and used to play on them. When he aged out of consoles and got a PC was right around the time Sony started getting weird and woke so I'm glad we made it out of there.
Said like a true cuck. The subscription is bullshit. It kills smaller games multiplayer and creates a feedback loop of dead lobbies. What are you receiving that is worth $80 a year? The "free" games are shit and can usually be picked up for $10 on sale.
I found the best way is to reduce your MTU to around 700 or so. Occasionally when starting other players will blip in for around a minute, but that's rare. It's just me and the NPCs.
Haven't used it since last year, when the new pc took the monitor. Sigh. Like you always hear about windows, some sort of "driver" issue has made it unusable. Have had zero OS problems in 38 years on the Mac OS.
Time flies. It's been a year and 3 days since I last used it.
$80 sounds steep, but for whatever you actually pay, you get the online version of GTA which has tons of content. I think I had around 60 days ingame after starting over on the PS4.
The free games are inferior and not worth downloading.
Driver issues are trivial to deal with, and GTA is not only free to play online via PC, it's moddable, there are fan servers, it looks better, and is relatively free of squeakers.
I can speak all about the ills of Microsoft, but Linux is rapidly reaching parity so Windows is going to be less of an issue in the future.
Mac OS has always been for people who prefer a superior computing experience, with superior performance, and a UI that doesn't make you want to vomit.

As for Linux, I spent years reading the weeping and wailing of Linux tinkers. Nothing worked without hundreds of hours fucking with an OS that only appealed to the impoverished. I would never touch that bullshit in a million years. Learn from others mistakes.
I recently acquired GTA on the covid hoax machine, but it still doesn't work because of a "driver issue". I'm going to replace my 10 yo iMac with a brand new one, so I'll at least have one reliable computer. What good is a computer that just stops working like that?
The UI was just a basic *nix WM. Nothing wrong with that, but OS 9 and under were trash operating systems. There's a reason they scrapped the kernel, then forked FreeBSD and called it OS X. Apple was in such dire straits in the 90's that they had to partner up with the government to sell Macs, which is why they were so prevalent in the education system. It wasn't until their image rebrand around the time of iPod and OS X where people started taking them seriously. Sure there is some great professional studio software on it, but the point still remains that it's a needlessly walled garden- one that is still essentially a BSD kernel once you strip away the gleam and glam.
I won't lie though, their desktop build quality is fantastic, but don't mention their laptops. If you like the premium for environment, more power to you.
Troubleshooting your Microshit install shouldn't be difficult to diagnose and solve. I'm going to assume video driver? That's the most commonly screwed up. Try a complete display driver uninstaller (DDU) and reinstall fresh.
I remember paying somewhere around $5k for a powerbook 170 back in the day. The only laptop I've had, and laughably ancient by current standards. Desktops are better.
The premium for environment, and refusing to support Bill Gates and his evil plans. We didn't have to know it would be the covid hoax in particular to know whatever he did would be bad news.
It's not a video driver, it's some kind of odd crash message about a 'driver issue' I need to google on the other computer.
The monthly free games tend to have 1 decent one, and then 1 or 2 shitty ones. But there are lots of games I would try included in the subscription though.
