1. I use flac, which is lossless, what you are streaming is of significantly lesser quality.
2. I pay for internet, this allows me to download lossless flacs and to remotely access my library.

My car plays flacs. I have like 256GB of storage in my aftermarket nav and expandable with external usb drives. Playing it locally means I can listen to it in the mountains with no service and that I don't cook myself with 5G. If I really wanted to stream I could wireguard to my NAS without paying anything more than I already pay to the ISP.

That's not true. You don't press a button on your phone. You unlock your phone and look at your screen and open an app by pressing on your screen and then press to select a song or library and then press play.

I can press a physical play button on my steering wheel to begin playback. I can even set it to start playing as soon as the car starts and not press any buttons.

I don't disagree that a customized solution takes longer to set up, but once things are configured and streamlined there's no competing for cookie cutter services like the one you use.
