The bank owns the asset, the county owns the land and property, you the pleb own the debt, maintenance, and obligations. But hey at least you can say you own the property on paper through a deed that gives you the right to pretend you own the property (terms and conditions apply)

You really need to worry about how dumb people are on voat. He's actually saying buying your own home is bad. As you say, renting is literally paying someone else's mortgage. Mortgage is usually less than rent payments. But you may have to fix your own stove so it's not worth it. Laughably stupid
"But muh mortgage payment is the same as rent. I'm just paying rent to the bank." I guess, but it's rent-to-own. Beats paying some other fucker's mortgage payment in the form of rent.
Im in that boat, but I also sit on almost 4 acres of land I paid for outright, no loan involved for the land. But then I built a $200,000 house on it and got a $150,000 mortgage for the house on it with the land as collateral. Shitty situation, but at least I have my dirt bike track going around my house and Im about to build a coup and get chickens. Goats later. But sure beats renting. Ive rented and lived beside spics and niggers. That's way worse.
Glue eater moment. Owning a home is expensive sure, but it's better than pissing money down the drain aka renting.
True enough. The money you spend on a mortgage is partially compensated in equity, which is the value part of your payment minus the interest you pay. If you keep up payments on the mortgage, you can later sell it and accrue some of the value that you paid into it. When you rent, you have nothing to show for it when you want to move.
You still have to pay property taxes even if you fully own a home. Stop giving them taxes and they will take it from you. So you don't truly own it. It's still rent.
You're right that property taxes allow the government to steal your home out from under you, but you do still own it whether or not you pay a yearly ransom.
You have to pay income taxes just to ransom yourself out of jail every year too. Why stop at the "you never TRULY own things" argument and go another step further - the government already owns you anyways.
I think his point is meant to push your argument to the extreme. Everything you eat becomes shit, so why not just eat shit? It's not really a good argument.
Again none of this is to say you're wrong about taxes fundamentally eroding your rights, but playing the semantics game of what is TRULY ownership is just a silly diversion in my humble opinion.
There are a number of alternatives for the creative person, and that is one. But sometimes the 'someone else' is a legal entity that seems to read your mind when deciding what to do. "Asset Protection" is an interesting and somewhat murky field of endeavor in this legally avaricious world.
It’s not as dire as that. However as long as you have a mortgage you don’t own the property, you own the equity minus the remainder of the loan. Hopefully this is equal to or less than the value of the property. Once you payoff the mortgage you have removed the bank from the equation. You’re still stuck with the property tax though, that sucks. Unless you live in some crazy place like New Jersey your property tax should be easily affordable.
Fun fact about NJ, the reason the taxes are so high is because jews and disabled service members are 100% tax exempt for property. There's also certain provisions for certain types of farms. So NJ/NY is really 25% of the people paying a 100% of the property tax, whilst assholes are tax exempt. Like clockwork the filthy kikes always champion on having property tax increased, because they will never pay that shit.
This was passed down by one of my friends and may not be entirely accurate
its jews protecting other jews by forcing the goy to pay the difference. The jews not paying taxes is what caused the goy to have to pay astronomically inflated costs
Exactly. You don't own a house. You own a slip of paper in a county court house. When communism hits that slip of paper is as good as gone.
You can't escape the system or communism by buying a property in the middle of nowhere. You've just invested all your eggs into the system because it all hinges on that piece of paper that really is out of your control.
Also you are making a highly leveraged investment in something with wild price swings dependent on Fed policy. Isolating investment from lifestyle it absolutely is not the right investment for everyone. Where it does make sense is retaining part of your "rent" as equity. You live in a country of niggers where people are only going to compare monthly dollar for dollar. That's going to push those two prices together when for the organized person they aren't the same. There are also inherent inefficiencies in people living in property they don't have a stake in that your are really paying for when you rent no matter how you treat the property.
Arguments for, arguments against.
See if white people could rent from and rent to only white people we could isolate the act of speculating in property to specialists and not pay the nigger tax that is currently a part of renting.
Get a lot, get a nice trailer. Put a flag pole and fly a rebel flag. Come out on the porch ery morning and scream "NIGGER! KIKES!!" Your neighbors will be like "hell yeah, brother! Huwhite power!". Then ride your UTV to Tudors and get some of the best breakfast you will ever have in your life. Hell, you might even bump into me and we'll heil sig and all of that.
One issue I see with this is that you are required to report that rental income and pay tax on it. Pay tax on the rent you are using to reduce your tax burden. Yes, that is how our gubmint works.
Even when it's all paid off, you look at your deed and notice that you're literally listed as "tenant". Beats renting though. At least you get some say in what you can do to the building you live in.
No one's taking out home loans, car loans, credit cards, student loans, or anything dependent upon debt because they're becoming aware of what usury actually is.
I mean, there is equity. If I have $X paid on the principal, I get it at the time of sale; not only that, but I am living at that property during the time when I am building the equity, and there are pretty reliable investments you can make improving the home to actually see a return on the sale. I'm not saying ownership is for everyone all of the time, but it has its benefits.
Quite frankly people should live in areas where they can rent for dirt cheap and work remotely or they should live out of their RV or their car or their van and the only house they should ever buy is one that cash flows positively as a rental. Maintenance taxes the extreme amount of money you have to pay for electricity sewer and water these days for a lot of space that you don't need as a single person and I'm not talking about families here but it's a single person destroys any economic benefit you get from that. It's not enough to amortize the mortgage and give your return based on appreciation based on the cost of the mortgage. You also have to factor in that you've got large electricity costs and utility costs that you would not have if you weren't living in a house. And those are really gotten high. Not to mention HOA fees and property taxes in some areas etc etc. You factor all those in and you do you return on your investment unless you catch the real estate market in upswing because interest rates are going down and you're smart enough to sell then your investment is not as good as if you took all that money that you're spending on excess utilities and all these other things and put that in the stock market or crypto or anything.
