I swear this proxy war is just a method to develop the most efficient methods to attack rural areas and inhabitants with drones.

It's definitely looking that way.

Hope you're working on your homemade EMP devices.

Reminds me of Japanese drug war. The druggies started using drones, then the cops got anti-drone drones with nets. Then the druggies got anti-anti-drones with nets to net the drones with nets. It's droneception.

... to deliver drugs to prisoners or something?

Good catch, but they need to be sure and record the grids for those things for EOD to recover and decommision, or one day, long after the war is over, some kid is going to find it, and whatever ordnance it may have been carrying.

If the Ukes send anyone to recover it, they're probably going to find themselves holding one or more 152mm HE rounds.

Russians already have the grid. All they have to do now is watch.

We did the same thing with IED cells in AFG.

The way it used to go:
1) first guy or team comes out at night and digs a hole. They don't have anything incriminating on them and are unarmed. Can't smoke guys for digging a hole.
2) after they leave, the second element, who's been watching, after the first guys leave, and when they think the coast is clear, comes out and drops the device in the hole, and hauls ass.
3) third element waits until they think it's safe, comes out and buries the device and hauls ass.

How it really went:
1) first team digs the hole, and gets tracked back home as they leave.
2) second team comes out to drop device and gets hit by two Hellfires.
3) third element goes home because they saw it happen and now have nothing else to do tonight.

no footage leading up to it = staged

you really think drone operators will wait for an unidentified drone to position itself above?

Combat drones usually only have one or two cameras. None of them look directly into the sky above as that would be retarded.

Unless it's specifically designed for drone air-to-air operations? Having the most field of view possible could mean the difference between a net getting dropped on you, or you spotting it above yours and moving out of the way.

Correct me if Im wrong but in the past the Ukes seem to have employed mostly improvised shit made from consumer hardware.

Have you seen the vids? Can't expec situational awareness with from a toy drone.
