Agree. Also he looks like an old dyke.

[ - ] SilentByAssociation 1 point 1 yearJun 4, 2024 07:21:25 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah he does. His visage has always unsettled me.

Lol honestly pre 8th grade is probably the last time I ever read anything by him. He had a few entertaining reads early on. Not anything heavy or thought provoking. The formula got stale pretty quick though. I mean I look at him as a dime novel kind of writer. Didn't expect the great American epic or anything. Couldn’t give a fuck about his northeast liberal boomer opinion on a damn thing.

Only thing I liked was the Dark Tower series. Never got more than a couple pages through anything else. Even the Dark Tower was a poorly written jumble.

It's a good read as a child. Once you have your reasoning about you, it becomes that jumbled mess.

Almost half the US population is negro and hispanic.

[ - ] CoronaHoax 2 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:13:28 ago (+2/-0)

almost certainly more than half. You think they're telling the truth to you?

[ - ] Indoctrinated_USA 2 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:27:49 ago (+2/-0)

Best estimate, ~100+ Million spics and 50 Million nogs.
They say the number of hispanics is closer to 65 Million.
The negro pop is easier to track, they're all on public assistance.

8th grade level makes them easy to read and eliminates a lot of the bullshit flowery prose and fancy-pants writing techniques that annoy everyone but English Lit majors.

He's a leftist nitwit for sure, but he has some decent books and a very readable writing style.

Found the barely literate

[ - ] jerkofalltrades 0 points 1 yearJun 4, 2024 06:41:32 ago (+0/-0)

Eh.. it's all relative anyway. I guess Lovecraft would toss his books as offensive trash. But then again today's eight graders can't even read comic books so there is that.

Though I have no clue about his politics I was under the impression he never made himself out to be any more than a drugged up pulp writer who should be treated as such.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 0 points 1 yearJun 4, 2024 08:26:35 ago (+0/-0)

Today's 8th graders are mostly niggers, so of course they can't read or maths.

He writes for his target audience and by that I mean the one he seeks to rape… allegedly

[ - ] con77 [op] 2 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 18:37:45 ago (+2/-0)

John Grisham is even worse. 6th grade level. with the exception of A time to kill.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:23:54 ago (+1/-0)

ATTK is his worst book. His first book, so he gets some slack. But the worst part is, it's based on the story of two NIGGERS that rape a White girl. He reversed the races. Fuck that liberal twat. Problem: I like most of his other books.

[ - ] MuricaPersonified 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 23:21:38 ago (+1/-0)

Michael Crichton was arguably worse than Grisham. He wrote about fun concepts, but they read like summer blockbusters. "Micro" was quite possibly the most juvenile book that I've ever read, but in Crichton's defense- he only wrote the outline and first few chapters before he croaked.

Sometimes you just want to read some mindless entertainment. Life can't all be learning about jews or engineering.

[ - ] Indoctrinated_USA 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 20:54:18 ago (+1/-0)

Most social media exists somewhere around third to fourth grade standards of literacy, so...

Nigger, you read on a 5th grade level.

[ - ] con77 [op] 2 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:21:20 ago (+2/-0)

Actually I'm in the top 2% of the nation

Sure you are buddy. Upjew’d!

[ - ] Joe_McCarthy 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 19:06:30 ago (+1/-0)

Michener wrote at a higher level. But King isn't THAT bad.

[ - ] con77 [op] 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:22:35 ago (+1/-0)

Michener was amazing

[ - ] Joe_McCarthy 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:27:27 ago (+1/-0)

I read his book on Poland last year in solitary confinement. Maybe the best book I've read since Helter Skelter 5 or so years ago.

[ - ] clymer 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 18:54:23 ago (+1/-0)

no wonder I like them so much

[ - ] Stonkmar 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 18:48:54 ago (+1/-0)

He also describes things in too much detail sometimes.

Kinda like your opinion

If you want to read to increase your vocabulary, read Charles Dickens. If you want to read for enjoyment, read Stephen King.
It, the shining, cujo, Christine, firestarter, he has a lot of great books.

There is a humorous older BBC comedy, which is a parody of Stephen King, called Garth Marenghi Dark Side worth a look in.

If you want to become a successful writer make your stuff simple to read and hard to put down. You don't even need a story. John Grisham does this very well and then he sticks his hand in a hat and pulls out a bunch of legal stereotypes and his books fly off the shelves.

King also does this. He uses the same writing techniques as he did when he was a cokehead burnout. They sell so you can't blame him but his writing isn't close to high brow. He doesn't use as many paint by number characters as Grisham but there are always a few people patterned after him in different stages of his life and he's always sympathetic towards them. Most writers do that but it's something they shouldn't be as obvious about.

That said, his writing isn't high brow but it's no Nicholas Sparks either. He is genuinely pretty imaginative even if a lot of his books are just 'haunted hotel', 'haunted car', 'haunted cell phone', 'aliens', 'werewolf' etc. I have read a shit ton of books from authors of every stripe and he has the honor and privilege of writing the worst piece of shit I've ever laid eyes on. Guess which one?

Beyond all that, his politics are disgusting and he's a nauseating person. I don't see why pedophiles see someone as rich as him (or Gates, or Bezos, etc) and hear their faggoty politics and not think there are some shenanigans going on behind it all.

Is this the thread where we shit on King? Well, I like his books, but I know he spent most of his career as a drunk and I think also a cokehead.

The moment I find out someone is a democrat, leftist, liberal, - Anything they have to say means less than nothing to me.

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 0 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 21:34:39 ago (+0/-0)

Obviously not a coincidence that he's a cultist leftist and he gets promoted so much.

[ - ] PeBeFri 0 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 19:16:31 ago (+1/-1)

So you believe that the literary merit of a book can be judged by how difficult it is to comprehend? You remind me of the protagonist of my book.

[ - ] con77 [op] 1 point 1 yearJun 3, 2024 19:52:18 ago (+1/-0)

blow me pal. Ive read more books than you have

[ - ] Zyklonbeekeeper 0 points 1 yearJun 3, 2024 18:46:50 ago (+0/-0)
