That's not free energy.

The energy required to get that sheave initially spinning is far, far greater than the energy that was needed to getting it spinning from a certain velocity to a certain faster velocity.

That machine will reach a peak velocity then slowly slow down. It will not speed back up. It's, for lack of a better term, burning off that potential energy by speeding up. However, it will slow down and stop. If you put a load on it, mechanical or electrical, it will reach a lower peak velocity, and slow faster.

The secret to this device is the springs.
They have a resonance frequency, and once all the springs get synced, it seems like energy is being added into the system, where before, there was more energy in the system, but it was inefficient due to being out of sync.
