Sydney to be transformed with new ‘micro-cities’ including high-density housing and commerce, entertainment precincts

Large parts of Sydney will be transformed with ‘micro-cities’ that will leave some suburbs totally unrecognisable, in a bid to solve the capital’s crippling housing crisis.

A housing crisis that the government has created through a concerted effort these last 21 years.

Solution, sell the land to foreign investors to keep lobbyists happy and sell floating prisons to the citizenry.

“We’re focused on getting the balance right, between building new homes and protecting the character of communities.

An ambitious affordable housing target of 10 to 15 per cent of all dwellings has been set.

15% of housing set to be affordable, not 90%, just 10-15%. What is considered affordable? If property, it costs less than 30% of gross household income. Average income in Australia is now $98K. How many people do you actually know that earn a six-figure salary?

“The number of multi-units approved for construction in the first three months of 2024 fell further to be the lowest volume since April 2012,” stated HIA’s Chief Economist, Tim Reardon.

“There is growing evidence that the volume of new detached homes commencing construction will reach a trough in 2024, albeit, at its lowest level since 2012.

“It is possible to build the Australian Government’s target of 1.2 million homes over the next five years, but it will require significant lowering of taxes on home building, easing pressures on construction costs, and decreasing land costs,” concluded Mr Reardon.

But the government doesn't want to because it affects politicians property portfolios.

I know a guy that lives in The Domain, in Austin. He can walk to work in 5 minutes. It’s set up with business and entertainment on the ground level, apartments above, the place is huge. It’s not cheap. He’s lived in Austin for 5 years and rarely leaves this fake city. There are so many youngish, well off tech nerd men trapped there, that a brothel has opened in the apartments.
It’s insidious.

It reminds me about a prelude to "economies of crime" in Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Pure dystopian Cyber Punk city that had its own underground economy.

There was a documentary on it, Kowloon Walled City 1989.

Hey, I’ve been there. The entire place felt like an outdoor mall. We called it SoDoSoPa.

Yeah, it’s basically living over a mall. They built the Domain in three phases. Funny enough the earliest phase is considered a ghetto. That’s the phase where the trampoline store, and other odd vendors washed up. An above average amount of niggers and pajeets inhabit the dwellings in that phase.
Second phase; fancier shops.. Saks, a tea room, Tiffany’s. Here dwells young professional whitey.
Third phase; art galleries, high end designer clothing, Tesla dealership. Here you find the older professional whitey.
All trapped.

Not going to quote verbatim, but there was a statement of building many, many apartments, not the detached houses of suburbs, but apts to address the housing.

You will own nothing. You will eat the bugs. You will stay where we tell you.

And you will like it.

You will live in an apartment if you want want, you can live in a house if you want. No one is forcing you to live anywhere.

Except price ....

Did you read the articles? They are not approving many if any houses with next to no land lease, and cost is several factors larger than what is considered average wage.
Wages have gone up 15-20% in 20yrs, property has gone up 600%.
You will most likely require 200K income to qualify for a mortgague.

No, the faggot didn't read. Massive apartment complexes to "address housing shortages" means only one thing...and I shouldn't have to spell that out.

It's simple, don't fucking move there if you don't fucking like it

America is circling the drain just like Australia.
I’ll copy paste this for next year.

“If you don’t like it, don’t move there”

Hilarious.

They cracked the code to keep them obedient and non questioning during the bioweapon compliance.

Now they're going to enslave them.

We need to promote Agrarianism.

Avoid the cities like it's the plague.

Who was it that said when housing or food goes above 50% of average gross income, historically it has lead to open revolt?

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 10 monthsJul 12, 2024 18:10:52 ago (+0/-0)

Being able to walk to everyplace you need to go is pretty nice. Shouldn't be in a city though.

Saudi Arabia is building a hugely impractical 170km straight-line 9 million resident housing project:

(too late for all the Palestinians fleeing their home country of Palestine)

It's straight out of Hollywood: https://snowpiercer.fandom.com/wiki/Snowpiercer_(film)

Might as well build a tower connected to the moon.
