There's 2 types of flatards:

1. Those that know it's horseshit and push it anyway, and there are 2 subgroups:
1a. Is the paid shill forum sliding and poisoning the well by making the website look like a collection of lunatics.
1b. Is the troll who gets his jollies by melting brains with illogical mental dissonance.

2. People who genuinely believe the earth is flat because of a type 1 (above) influence or some religious horse-shit in an infallible "holy" book.

There's no swaying either type 1 or 2, so the best course is 180 away from engaging them at all.

Federal agencies have a battery of tests which include intellectual competency, physical fitness, and a psychological examination with a drug test. Flat earthers would never be able to pass any of this. It's obvious though, that they may be part of an NGO group that contracts with the federal government. There's too much effort put into this without there being some type of financial incentive.
