I've never understood the draw of eating something that's still alive. Fucking chinks. Also those fucking eggs they eat with partially formed chicks.

The eggs are savored for their balance of textures and flavors; the broth surrounding the embryo is sipped from the egg before the shell is peeled, and the yolk and young chick inside can be eaten

Couple of things here. "Balance of textures" yes I love it when I eat the mushy bone parts of chicken. If only the entire chicken could be bony with minimal meat.

Second - "young chick inside" oh so it's not just a fetus if it's a chicken? But if a human child is flushed from its incubation chamber, it's "just a clump of cells" or a foetus.

And lastly... fuckin gross. I get it if there's a food shortage or something, but... there's not. We don't use night soil to fertilize our crops either.

A while back, someone (I think it may have been @big_fat_dangus ) posted a video featuring a chink trimming a hedge.

The chink stops after a moment and reaches into the bush, pulls out a nest full of baby birds. Chink proceeds to gobble up the fuzzy little peepers, all of them with their mouths open, begging for food.

If that wasn't the chinkiest thing I've ever seen, it was definitely in the top 5. Right up there with the video of chinks slicing up a whale shark with a Jack and Jill saw, working their way from the tail up while the thing was still alive.

Catbox doesn't work on my current setup, but I can imagine. I always used to think it was hyperbolic when people called them "bugmen," but shit like this makes me realize that their empathy really is bug-level.

The end result is the same in this scenario. Theoretically you'll get the same benefits. However I find it a bit more humane to shoot a cow with a pneumatic bolt than skinning it and cutting my steak out while it's still alive.

Jesus, the lack of critical thinking in that thread. Apparently they MUST be tortured because if kill it first, bacteria from the shell will poison the meat. Somehow boiling won't kill the bacteria unless the animal is alive.

It seems real to me. I think each mantis foot has a pincer on it so they can attach to you and its hard and painful to get them off.
