I see these stories all the time...

I don't really believe them anymore. Someone saved a squirrel, so it brought a cookie. Someone saved an elephant 355.76 years ago and now it swam the Pacific ocean to save them from heat stroke in death valley.

I saved a bird from death in my neighbors yard. It was stuck in a pipe in the ground and couldn't get out. I saved another bird from being stuck in the garage attic. I never saw those ungrateful bastards again.

They are fake. You'll note the same voices for narration, a bunch of stitched together clips of the same kind of animal (but never the same individual), and the story will throw in details to make the differences seem coherent (different people in different videos are explained according to being couples, but they're never seen together, etc.). I saw one video that was about a rescued tiger that became insecure about being fat around the other tigers. They showed clips of one tiger sitting by himself and explained that this was because he was depressed about being overweight.

I don't know about this one in particular, a lot of the time the people "saving" the animals are the ones that put it in peril to begin with. I think it's mostly cats and dogs, some of them it's pretty obvious.

These kinds of things tug on our heart strings, and generate a ton of clicks. So pajeets will injury an animal just to save it.
