Watch a bunch of those shorts and you'll soon notice all the tricks used to increase views and likes. Sappy music over unrelated clips is typical. Improbable camera angles and switching between types of landscapes (dry forest to mossy trees and back to dry forest) are revealing too.

That’s whole lot of anthropomorphism, but I will grant that that was very strange behavior from the deer, almost human like if it’s real.
