The "cell phone bomb" is a well known Mossad assassination method, that they have used in the past.


1. Phone is hacked remotely and all data is copied

2. Pictures of the targets phone are acquired, to make sure clone looks accurate.

3. Clone phone is made, half the battery is replaced with explosives

4. A cut out or asset is used to switch the phones. He signed that this has been done and the provisioning of services is switched to the clone.

5. Wait to give asset / cut out cover

6. Call phone. When person answers, voice print confirm its them or verify visually.

7. Detonate explosive. Target will be holding phone to their head so it doesn't need to be a big bang. Expected

the detonation method makes me think its all built in features, if they did put in a small amount of explosives they would also need their own detonator on a separate system with its own battery.

wonder if that's why flying around with batteries is a hazard because it sets of the explosives detectors at the airport.
