FUCK YOU MICROSOFT YOU FUCKING JEET LOVING PIECE OF SHIT COMPANY

submitted by drhitler to Rants 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:26:44 ago (+24/-0)     (Rants)

EDIT : fixed the stupid POS had to uninstall a security update, didn't get the KB number. Now iam using a 3rd party tool to block all updates.

So you fucked up my whole computer again, even though i turned off your shit updates that have stopped my printer working you just installed the update again even though i told you to never update.

AND THE CHERRY ON TOP IS THE FAGGOT WINDOWS HAS REMOVED MY CLEAN INSTALL RESTORE POINT SO NOW I NEED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS

i swear to fuck iam going to go out and kick the fuck out of some jeet in a min, you fuck everything you touch dumb jeets

Oh and when it updated it put my computer in a weird tablet mode too, even though i never use it it just decided to force me to use tablet mode and i had to research how disable this retarded mode.

and no I can't use linux for this stuff.

EDIT : this is a production machine, if you have never cut vinyl you would have no idea about the little nuances that come with it and why iam not going to risk a linux machine even with virtualization.

stfu about your linux shit, its a GPWIN it dosn't even have linux drivers, its basically useless without the win10 drivers.

I know you said you can't use linux.... but you should really try to use linux.

When will Linux have a built in AI? When can I tell the computer what I want and just have it done? I am too fucking old to spend hours trying to find out all the hoops I need to jump through for every little thing.

Real talk.

Unix & Linux virtualization. Linux support appears non-existent for the fullest-featured offerings?

Intrinsic security concern when the most backdoored of all "operating systems" (if it can even be called that anymore) AppleOS is your VM host.

Windows may be shit security, but Apple is even worse. Cloud everything keylogger with free fedkeys given to your local law enforcement who call a buddy they know sitting behind a desk in Virginia.

The top 5 Virtualization stacks that can run, for example Windows 7/8/10 with very strong hardware capabilities, seem to have small overlap, and Linux is a huge pain in the ass of an OS to run even as someone who regularly utilizes CLI in their native OS.

The most featured Virtualization stacks seem to all run on MacOS, which no longer runs Intel & AMD silicone, making the performance of the virtualization itself inferior natively.

I guess I can channel my inner Tallest and say "Why not run TempleOS?"

You should upgrade to Win7

[ - ] WhiteRonin 4 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:43:47 ago (+4/-0)

It's gotten to the point where even on the "legacy" (See: 7/8/10, etc) systems you are now obligated to go into recently installed programs and remove the Windows spyware garbage AI keylogger screenlogger bullshit after every restart.

Thanks street shitter pajeeet CEO!

you should leave it

they are doing it so they can brick PCs worldwide if we ever decide to torch & pitchfork these pricks.

its insane the length you have to goto to disable these updates now.

[ - ] NiggerPete 1 point 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 02:43:11 ago (+1/-0)

My Linux computer doesn't do that! Lol

[ - ] 1point21jiggawatts 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:46:46 ago (+1/-0)

Does it need to be connected to the internet? Can't download updates without a network connection.

Barring that https://greatis.com/stopupdates10/ works for turning updates completely off. Been using it for years dozens of machines and always worked 100%.

Also a good idea to run recommended settings on this https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 to turn off Microsoft spyware and useless background services. After you apply the recommended settings you can manually flip the switches for anything else you don't care about or use.

[ - ] Glowbright 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:16:40 ago (+1/-0)

Lol. "I can't do it with Linux!" is the battle cry of those to brainwashed by Microsoft to never try. Like you just dedicated an entire post to bitching about Microsoft but you are too much of a pussy to try the alternative.

Oh it is super proprietary hardware? You running a GPD Win Mini because you did not want to spend the $$$ on a steam deck? https://www.s31bz.com/linux-gpd-win-mini literally the first link when I did a search on "GPD Win linux"

Put on the big boy pants and ditch Microsoft

"and no I can't use linux for this stuff."

Well there's your problem. Not MS, not some pajeet, but in fact you are just stupid.

You deserve all of your troubles and many more.

I think it's people not realizing that 98% of Linux distros have fully functioning UIs like Windows and Mac. Even just a few years ago I assumed everything on Linux had to be done on the command line (many different names in different distros (generally referred to as "Terminal")). I've been using Linux for almost a year now; started on Zorin OS, then Garuda which I didn't like, now Nobara.

I'm happy to have ditched Windows.

[ - ] o0shad0o 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 20:42:48 ago (+1/-0)

Get a $50 laptop off craigslist or whatever and stick linux on it, then play a bit. The only thing you have to lose is Microsoft. :-P

[ - ] Wolfspider 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 20:08:21 ago (+1/-0)

This will stop it. Been using Sledgehammer for years:

Never trust restore points. Always take backup images. There are tools for that which are far superior to whatever crap is built into Windows.

Absolutely detest microcrap!!

Don't worry, you haven't learned your lesson yet.
You will keep using Windows like you always have.

Like a good Goy.

[ - ] Theo 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:33:14 ago (+1/-0)*

Sure you can.

Linux + VirtualBox running your least disliked Microshaft.

or *BSD + bhyve if you're adventurous.

Either way you can back up your entire image and also isolate it from your network so that it's impossible for them to break it.

[ - ] drhitler [op] 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:37:17 ago (+1/-0)

No you can't cut vinyl in linux, i do not trust it, it will probably draw a 10m long line to nowhere and ruin hundreds of dollars worth of vinyl.

[ - ] Theo 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:43:26 ago (+1/-0)

You don't do it in Linux, you do it in a Windows virtual environment running on Linux.

If you don't trust the system then do small test runs to prove that it works.

[ - ] Theo 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 17:46:25 ago (+0/-0)

If your vinyl cutter has a USB interface then VirtualBox has a passthru feature so that you can access it in Windows.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 18:40:37 ago (+0/-0)

You can literally image your existing machine and run it as a virtual machine. Diskgenius does it for free. And you can ctrl+c ctrl+v to back it up. Pass through the USB device to it and work like normal.

[ - ] Kozel 1 point 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 18:39:49 ago (+1/-0)

Linux + VirtualBox

Why the shit would someone use virtualbox if they're using linux? Use QEMU retard.

[ - ] Theo 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 20:23:04 ago (+0/-0)

This isn't about people in general, it's about Windows users, so a having a GUI matters.

Go fuck yourself.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:17:42 ago (+0/-0)

stupid nigger

you literally wrote

Linux + VirtualBox

now you say you're talking about windows.

and what the fuck are you talking about GUI matters? There are multiple GUIs for Qemu, such as virtual machine manager.

You stupid fucks need to get a fucking clue before writing stupid advices.

[ - ] Theo 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:41:16 ago (+0/-0)

You left out the part about running Microshaft, fuckwit.

Go tell someone who care what you think.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 23:43:22 ago (+0/-0)

Linux + VirtualBox

[ - ] Theo 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 02:21:52 ago (+0/-0)

Linux + VirtualBox running your least disliked Microshaft.

was what I actually posted.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 02:50:36 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah. I think the problem is you're retarded and don't understand what I'm saying.

[ - ] Theo 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 14:12:36 ago (+0/-0)

You're full of shit. You can't deal with the facts about what I actually posted.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 14:23:53 ago (+0/-0)

You posted the suggestion to use Virtualbox on Linux, and you did so because you don't know any better, and now you're doubling down on ignorance.

[ - ] rzr97 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 20:47:59 ago (+0/-0)

Do you mean kvm/qemu with virtual machine manager? Thanks for any details. Curious to know what others do.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:06:08 ago (+0/-0)

precisely, you got it. much better performance. install the virt guest tools on the host and you're good.

[ - ] TheNoticing 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 09:59:37 ago (+0/-0)

WINE is used as a Windows emulation layer. When you're on Linux, WINE creates a fake C:/ drive so programs automatically go to it.

[ - ] ScheduledSuicide 0 points 2 monthsOct 22, 2024 06:39:49 ago (+0/-0)

Maybe try Windows Professional so you can take advantage of Hyper-v and create a Windows VM on Windows but have snapshots of the VM you can restore to if the VM updates.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 21:54:52 ago (+0/-0)

All you gotta do is spend a couple weeks, maybe months, testing which Linux you want to use to virtualize a copy of windows you still won't be able to prevent from updating but at least you can run it from the same snapshot forever to cut your vinyl. You needed another hobby, right? The advice you get from these faggots circle jerking each other is cringe when all you wanted is to vent plus maybe a little help.

It took me several tries to stop my win11 gaming rig from updating even after telling it not to. You can do it; keep watching methods on YouTube.

[ - ] drhitler [op] 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 22:02:44 ago (+0/-0)

its just a pc i maybe use for 10 minutes a week, its really not worth it when it comes to cutting vinyl, its a very niche bit of hardware with lots of little nuances and i just know its going to fuck up somewhere using linux even with a virtual windows machine.

just resigned to using an update blocker app, its so retarded how windows needs to force updates and even when you go out of your way to disable them it will just re-enable them.

really pissed how they deleted my restore point tho, the only reason i can think of them doing all this is they want a killswitch incase we decide to have a torch & pitchfork expo

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 19:35:26 ago (+0/-0)

Any way to install Windows 7?

[ - ] drhitler [op] 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 20:05:56 ago (+0/-0)

nah tried that

its a GPDWIN 1 micro gaming laptop, it only has win8 drivers

its basically useless without its drivers and no way is there linux drivers and if there is they are probably scattered all over the net, it has a lot of non-standard little hardware things that require very specific drivers.

[ - ] Sal_180 0 points 2 monthsOct 21, 2024 18:43:07 ago (+1/-1)

Dude, you clearly have no idea how to use a computer. I'm guessing you're a boomer? They're bad with technology
