Sanctions do not work. When you sanction you also sanction yourself. It has a symmetric effect. Never do to yourself what your enemies would do to you in a time of war.

All sanctions do is calcify war and conflict. All war and conflict are rooted in economics. The structural issue behind any war is economics. By deviating further from a free market and further creating two now more separate than before competing economic zones you are guaranteeing that there will be more basis for conflict going forward.

Meaning that sanctions don't hurt your enemy (relative to yourself). The only thing it does is commit to conflict even if otherwise resolutions could have been possible. AKA sanctions are fucking retarded.

Taking Ivan's job, destroying Dmitry's savings, bombing Igor's house, and shooting Sergey on the battlefield won't end the war.

Instead put time, money, resources, and effort into killing politicians.
