I was in Central Park once where a six year old got on a "bolder" that was basically flush with the ground and ever so slightly uneven but almost flat. His mother yelled at him frightfully demanding he get down before he gets hurt.
I'm just saying New York and Florida are two different places.
My kids would be fist fighting on it to see who is the man, and the thing is, all my kids have ME in them so the ones that got pushed off come back with a stick.
One of my fondest memories as a child was visiting a farm in the middle of winter. There were 9 hay bales arranged 3 by 3. There were five of us and we had fun just pushing each other off the bales. There was plenty of snow so plenty of cushioning.
We returned in the summer and tried to play on the bales but there was straw and dust everywhere. Definitely a winter game.

It's also illegal.
In sarasota, I knew a guy that walked his pooch close to a watering hole (they're everywhere there) and a gater got his dog. He called the authorites and he ended up getting ticketed and arrested for animal endagerment because the signs for gators were all over the place.
This gator looks to be trained. He responded to the guy calling him, walked up to him slowly, and took the food like he had done it before. Maybe a gator raised in captivity or in a bathtub?
I've seen people form some pretty deep bonds with gators that they've raised since they were small, and the gators seem to be pretty docile. They even respond to commands and act like monster dogs sometimes.
If this was a completely wild gator, then yeah, future disappearing act in the process here; I think this one will be fine.

Endangering himself and his neighbors.
