I play bingo at the nursing home my friend resides in once a week. Today the activities lady approached me to run a Men's group once a month. Of course I want to do that. I'm always looking for ways to be of service to my fellow Whites. I live in a small town in the south and the nursing home is lilly White. I wouldn't do it otherwise.

Every now and then something happens that tells you you might be doing something right. I'm flattered.

If you guys could give me suggestions, topics, just fun shit, maybe a joke night? Idk. I'm excited. If you like I'll keep you posted. There are some characters there.

That's cool. When I lived in Sarasota, I would take some of the elders that lived in the home next to me fishing off Longboat Key bridge.3 to 5 on a given week. I worked for Barnum and Baily clown college at the time.Thats when I met a retired clown from the circus. He asked me to go fishing. Thats how it all started. The stories from those guys were awesome. I still help the elders to this day.

I tried to make the joke to an old fellow at work that the nursing home is like college for old people. You’re banging recent singles. You’re taking drugs. Every once in a. While your friend leaves cause the graduated “died” and they didn’t find it funny at all. In fact I was offended at how gay they were. Figure out what games they like. A lot of old guys are card guys. You could do a poker or euchre night. Also, it wouldn't be hard to set up a dart board. Tossing darts is fun. You could also do a movie once in a while. A good one. Not some happy-go-lucky musical, but something a bit more suited for a man's tastes.

I like the idea of a joke night. Set up a mock standup stage and have guys go up and tell a joke. Have everybody vote on the best ones and winner gets a prize of some kind.

Also, good for you for taking this on. I bet the old timers will appreciate it a lot.

Love it. I also live in a small town, 800 folks. Many are elderly. Town really looks after them. Was just looking into delivering some meals to a few to help support them. Yes, they will love to tell you their stories!!! I wish i would have asked more questions when my parents were still alive.

Hook up with whatever pet adoption agency they have around you and organize a dog day. 6 old men, 6 dogs. Every guy has had "that dog" he misses and any dog will bring him a smile.

If you had the chance to tell your 18 year old self three things, what would they be?

What is the biggest lie you have witnessed yourself?

If you were able to reset history to a certain date and time, when is it and why?

With enough lead-in and "comfort", the truth should flow easily.

I need to find a way to do something similar in north Georgia. It would be fun to hear their versions of historical events...then figuring out how to have a wild time busting them out of the old folks home.

I live in a small southern town also. Around here the nursing homes are Lilly White. Well, there might be some beaners cleaning the toilets and making the beds, but other than that it's all Whites. We do have the pain pills problem though so some of the pillhead women will seek out jobs in the nursing homes in order to get pills from the old men. These gals will jerk an old geezer off or give him a blowjob for a pill. It's probably the most action these guys have had in years.

I think that's a great idea. They saw things of legend. Kennedy killed, Vietnam, Rock and Roll, The Beatles, the 60's drug scene, the birth control pill, integration, bussing, damn.... the list goes on and on.
