Here’s the hidden benefit of carmine color. I just verified that is is non-kosher. So if you are trying to avoid kosher foods (kosher is a hidden jewish tax) carmine products are probably all non-kosher.
Doesn't that particular insect come from Mexico or South America?
They've cut down production on those insects so much that there's a limited number of farms that are making them, because of how labor intensive and difficult they are to harvest.
Early in my career, I worked in Lebanon. Mostly a shithole country. Yet the freshest and most colorful food imaginable. Just beautiful fresh vegetables and raw ingredients. It's totally possible to have beautiful, appetizing meals without all this kiked shit. Too bad many white people were brainwashed by the "boil everything" movement and think veg should be wet and flaccid.
Why in the world would there not be a better natural red pigment then tiny crushed up parasites? How the fuck do they get enough of those parasite bugs to create red dye on an industrial scale I call bullshit it makes no fucking sense where the fuck do you get thousands of pounds of parasites to harvest and crush.
Arg FUCK this video. "Which of these foot products have parasitic insects in them?" ~~"They all do~"" NONE! The answer is fucking NONE OF THEM DO.
Just like if I put butter in a cookie recipe, I don't say "There's a cow in these cookies!" When I drink beer, I don't equate it with eating raw barley and hop flowers.
Eating something derived from a thing != actually eating the thing.
Carmine color is a dye extracted from a bug, sure. But almost all of the rest of the stuff that makes the bug a bug is filtered out, lest you dilute the color which is the only fucking reason you care about the bug in the first place.
Second time I've seen this dumb ass shit posted. I promise you eating cereal or fresh veggies sees you consuming more actual bugs than a fucking box of Nerds with fractional amounts of a color of a bug. Get over carmine.
Unless you're a vegan of course; then just fuck off entirely.
If you filter out the solids like they do with cochineal, you're actually probably just drinking whatever seasonings were in the jerky and the minimal blood that's in it.
Enjoy your city water! But unironically yes, I make my coffee from groundwater which has gone through some poo at some point. My septic field is on the other side of the property, but it all gets mixed up down there, so...
Yup, you can extract water from poo and put it in your coffee. Done right, you'd never know the difference.
That involves filtering. You would end up with clear water. If your filtering left you with brown (or red) water you wouldnt drink it (unless youre a pajeet) because it obviously has poo in it.

My gripe is with the marketing companies and humans that are easily manipulated by bright colors.
Because truthfully there's no reason to put these dyes in any food except for marketing reasons.
Example, Gatorade would look plain and so would these candies. But they would taste the same.
Stop dying our foods.

That's it, cochineal.
