I think it was this guy who got into it with cops about cutting an old, widower's lawn. I can't recall what city. The gist is this: the city was going to fine her into oblivion for letting her lawn get out of control (or they had been already and were now threatening to take her house), but the cops were also going to arrest this guy for cutting her lawn for free, bringing it back within local guidelines. The reason? The city gave her a list of the contractors she could use. The comments had a ton of lawyers telling him to sue. Apparently, when the city gets involved, they have to profit, directly or indirectly. Like, you've got to pay us for raping you in the ass.
The thing with the lawfare is that a lot of people just don't have the actual or social capital to go against "city hall." If the world we live in depends on individuals suing their local government, we're broken. Most people don't have the financial or psychological or time resources to take on the city in a court battle.
Reminds me of my lazy little brother the kid would go on unemployment 6 months out of the year as a seasonal worker. I on the other hand worked 6-7 days a week. Guess which one of us mowed the lawn? Kid was so lazy he didn't even take the damn dog for a walk. Shits infuriating. Just would sit and collect and receive ebt money. I'm all for cutting every single one of those mostly abused by nigger program.

As with everything on Reddit, sort comments by controversial. Plenty of people calling out the lazy fuck there. I’m more concerned about his neighbors that have to put up with it. One of the few instances HOAs are useful.
